BLUEBONNET RUN 2010 (Sunday, April 18, 2010)

Meeting up at the Academy Parking Lot (19720 Northwest Freeway), on the East Side of US 290, just South of FM 1960.
Come a little early and you might want to go to La Madeline’s (which is right there) and get a light breakfast or snack, since lunch will be later than usual.
We’re pulling out at: 10:00am !!!!

Going North-West on US 290/Hwy 6 to Hempstead.
Take the Hwy. 6 exit off of 290 and head North on Hwy 6.
We’ll take a Left on 1227 off of Hwy. 6, well before Navasota.
Note the racetrack on the Left…don’t worry, we’re not going to stop to make a few passes down the track.
1227 T’s into 105…take a left on 105.

Take a Left (East) on 2193.

Take a Right on to 1155 South (not East).

Take a Right on to Chestnut St./FM 237/2447.

This T’s into 290…go right on 290.
In Brenham take the 36 Exit and go Left under the overpass.
Go past the Wal Mart SuperCenter on your left.
Turn Left on Woodridge Blvd, well past the Wal Mart.
Bluebonnet Photo Op here.

Woodridge T’s into 290 Feeder Rd.
I THINK (HOPE) this is a two-way street.
Turn Left on the Feeder Rd.
Turn Right at the intersection of 290 and 36…go under overpass and immediately get in Left Lane.
Get back up onto 290.
This is now called 290/36.

Take the 290 WEST loop-de-loop (this is fun) and head West on 290 to Burton.
Tentatively…we’re planning lunch at the Pig & Whistle Pub in Burton around 12:30 – 1:00pm.
Back up onto 290 and going through Round Top (also known as North/South Washington St. in Round Top).
Past Warrenton.
290 turns into 159.
Take 159 into La Grange.
Go under 71 and 159 T’s into Business 71 (also called East Travis St.).
We’ll loop around the Town Square. Note the cool Courthouse.
IF AVAILABLE, we’ll park and have a photo op.
IF NOT, we’ll loop around and go back to South Jefferson St. and go Right (South).
This becomes 77 and crosses over the Colorado River.

Take a left off of 77 onto 155.
On 155, we’ll eventually come into Weimer.
155 T’s where we’ll take a Left onto East Main St./90 .
90 will eventually parallel I-10.
At 71, we’ll take 71 East and get up onto 71, which will loop into I-10 Eastbound.
There, we’ll progress on into Houston and onto our various destinations home.

Even though I live in Austin, this sounds like a new fun run. Mark me down as Tentative.

If I go out saturday night, I won't make it, since I'll have to leave Austin around 7am to make it there by 10am... I'll post again on Saturday Night to confirm.
