Three 370Z's prepare for Top Secret Japan's arrival in Houston!
 

Hi fellas,

Last thursday MaydayGarage was at Secret Services auto early in the morning to document some baseline test numbers for 3 different 370Z's. These Z's will undergo a very dramatic change in less than 30 days in preparation for a private session tune with none other than "Smoky" Nagata of Top Secret Japan starting March 28th. These Z34's are completely stock and still have their paper plates, but that will change. Planet Zero and Baker-Jackson Nissan have overnighted prototype parts from various companies such as Top Secret, PowerHouse Amuse, Recaro, etc.

Hope they can meet the deadline, 30 days seems long but they have a fully stock car and plenty of work to do.

They'll make it. All the parts are in from Top Secret and awaiting installation. The guys building it say the interior may not be finished, but the performance parts will be ready for Smoky.

I hope smokey brings his supra and has fun with the cops there.

I believe it'll stay NA for Smoky's tune. From what I hear, he really wants to get a feel for our gasoline in an NA setup. Once he's done, who knows?

There's a rumor that Baker-Jackson Nissan will be getting a GT-R tuned by Smoky, too. So, Godzilla and Mothra together, destroying Houston? Sounds fun.

As for Smoky's Supra, I've heard it's a Nissan engine in there, right?

I believe its a 4 cylinder toyota engine from a MR2. Also in for results.

Just went to SSA on the 7th to tune my friend's turbo s2000, and going back this Saturday again for a visit. I'm interested to see their plans for these Z's.

Lol, 4 cyl... The supra has a V12 from a Toyota Century with two HKS GT2540's

True, there is actually 3 (maybe more). The 4 cylinder I was talking about is one that did the wangan run in New Zealand.(I think its sold) The v12 is the one that hit 222 at nardo ring. However there is one powered by an rb26 that is famous for his wangan run in UK which got him banned.

Another amuse kit going on a Z. Nissan should just strike a deal with amuse and offer it as a special edition.

This is an old thread and correct me if im wrong but I believe brad got the first amuse kit in the country, if not the 2nd or 3rd.

The build is coming along nicely cant wait to see it on the street!!!

For anyone wondering, this was over one year ago.
The white car has been bumped up with a few extra goodies and have added a black amuse.

Now that Paul has that really nice camera I think its time to get all the crew together and do a downtown photo shoot. Sh!t at least some updated pics of the good ol' Mothra and get ol' boy Keith in the mix!
