With the weather getting a little nicer in Central Texas lately...

So I am looking to get a big turn out for the test and tune night...
The track is an awesome place, nice launch pad of concrete.
The gates open at 6:00 pm, time trials start at 6:30 pm and the track closes at 11 pm..

For the guys in Austin and Killeen that would like to drive down together..
Lets try to decide on a time to meet up and leave Austin.

It takes approx. 1 hour to get from the NW side of Austin (near cedar park) to get to the track in San Antonio..

So lets start a list of people that would like to meet up at the track that night to run..

Need a helmet for 14.00 and faster.
The cost is $20 to run and $10 to watch..

85% sure i can make it this time.

nvm. faster than a 14 requires a helmet is weak, good thing my friend didn't sell his bike helmet.

Below 14 needs a helmet, damn that sucks. I will be unable to attend, have plans that weekend.

I'll be at MotorSport Ranch, driving my Z like it's supposed to be driven. lol :stirthepot:

I have a helmet you can use. And I have a huge head so it's going to fit you if you don't mind sharing. Only used it twice!

Are you guys still meeting up at the track? It might be closed with all this rain we've been having, if its not I might be able to join you i have a 370z.

The weather now shows a 0-10% (basically not raining) chance and the humidity keeps going down. It's going to be cool and dry guys!

I've been checking the hourly forecast for the past few days. So far, it's updated to 10:00am on Feb 5th.

I think the majority of us will be there between 6:00 and 7:00. I'll get with my buddy in here who lives in SA and see what he is doing. AFAIK, meet at the track.

Last call.. don't forget long pants, shoes (no sandals), helmet if you have one, and an empty tank! Bring cash to get in and cash if you are buying fuel there.

You guys think it would be smart to run the car with only 500 miles on it?:icon17:

I'm sure your car will be fine. It's not recommended of course, but I've seen fresh motors on the dyno. This isn't a 4-bolt small block, the tolerances are a lot more precise and the concept of seating rings is pretty much gone. Many people on here have thrown the break-in process out the window and had no issues.

Just make sure you have oil since you're probably still in the burning stage a little.

Well i think my best of the night was a 13.2 with an average of 14.2 hahaha. Track officials said water was seeping up through the track because of all the rain San Antonio previous had. Best 60ft was a 2.2 - barf.

horrible runs for me. best i ran was a 14.4 with all 2.5 60fts and of course traction issues we all had :shakes head:

it was nice meeting you guys, hopefully next time to track will be better for us!

ya i had a good time meeting you all, i was a bit embarassed to post because of my horrible times.

best i ran was 14.8 and a couple runs that wont be mentioned.....

hope to redeem myself next time, for now my clutch needs a break...

If you can't smell your clutch you aren't working it hard enough! ;)
