DFW Area Shop Recommendations for Dynos

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a shop in the DFW area with a Dyno that's good. I'm not looking to get work done at the moment, just wanna get some baseline runs and be able to come back after work is done. Eventually I may get some tuning or other work done, but that's a non-issue right now. I am completely aware of Jotech and would honestly prefer to avoid them in this case. Of course I'm not expecting a handout, but I don't want to be taken advantage of or mistreated. At the next Z Club meeting I'll ask around, but I'm trying to work on some ideas ahead of time.

Another shop I stumbled across recently is Alamo Autosports in Arlington. If anyone knows anything about them, good or bad, please let me know.

was told to check out SpeedTek and another place in Benbrook called Simple Quick.

also stumbled across Rising Sun Performance in Benbrook who claims to be a Datsun/Nissan Z Car specialist.

any recommendations today?

What area in DFW are you trying to be near? I've been looking also. Been typing in "Motorsports ___zip"

Getting a baseline? (noob plz help)

And I looked into joining your for that one day. But using driver's edge is a 2 day deal. Which is great! just not for that weekend.

Crossfit is having a workout competition my wife is competing in.

Maybe you can get some real Nismo dyno numbers. :p

haha yeah that's the goal. i wanna look into how to "reset" the ECU as well so I can avoid any cruising-mode pulls. haven't taken the time yet.

I htink Alamo has a good rep for RX7 builds.

If you want more info on local shops you should ask the guys Dallas Imports: Dallasimports (Powered by Invision Power Board)

hey man check out awd tuning. they are in flowermound and just got a new BADASS dyno. Tell them corbin sent ya... im sure pricing will be better than the usual.

Vipor, waiting for dyno results...waiting....

right now I'm looking at $65 for 3 pulls at SpeedTek. thanks for the info though Corbin, I might give them a shout. $65 for 3 seems like a really good deal though, especially being that it's 45 mins or so of a tech's time.

oil cooler goes on Saturday and I'll try to get the pulls in the following weekend if I don't go up to OK.

theDreamer 01-21-2010 03:33 PM

That is super cheap, I paid 90 for three pulls, I think the cheapest I found in Houston was 75-80.
