Clutch help - Houston shop recommend?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a good shop in the Houston area, familiar with Z's and high performance clutches. My current shop let me down, have been trying to get a Clutchmasters twin-disc installed correctly for over a year now -- continued failures.

Thanks in advance,

It's been a while since I've used them as I'm in DFW, but I I had major work done by Doug Baake at Awesome Z.

JTran is highly regarded in the VQ community. They can help with whatever you need.

Unfortunately, no, THEY CAN'T.

JTRAN is the shop that installed it, are apparently unable to get it to work properly after one rebuild and one complete replacement, and:
they are no longer responding to my calls, texts or messages...

Wow that sucks to hear... I always thought they were one of the good ones.

Try Kyle at IPP (Import Parts Pro)

or Baker Nissan/Tuning

or AwesomeZ

or Kozmic Motorsports

or Wally at Auto Adrenaline Performance

Found these all from this thread: http://www.the370z.com/texas/62559-h...ded-shops.html

I can vouch for Kyle at Import Part Pro excellent customer service and has the parts you need.

Thanks - I am familiar with IPP - that’s where my built engine came from 😁
I need a shop who can work on my clutch.

Drivetrain Service installed the Competition Street Series Stage 2 clutch Kit in our 2005 Nissan Sentra SE R, installed a TWM short throw shifter and TWM Shifter Knob and completely flushed and refilled the transmission fluid. They gave us a good price and did excellent work on our car I would recommend them. Drivetrain Service 11700 Tomball Parkway Suite C Houston,Texas 77086

Clutch help - Houston shop recommend?

Awesome Z installed my clutch and HD CSC before I installed the turbo kit. Great work, reasonable price and I’ve had no issues to date.

Oh and from what I hear JTran has closed up shop. Sucks. Sure wish I knew where Tao ended up.

I’ve also heard good things about DD Performance Research in Sealy but I have no personal experience.
