you guys think the dealer will actually be open for us to pick it up? in the past when my dad had preordered one of his cars it came in on the 24th and they let him pick it up but it was a "high end" dealer and they typically go the extra mile for their clients

most dealers will be closed christmas day. christmas eve is not a holiday.

call them now and speak with the gm and ask them if you can arrange to pick it up that day...cant hurt to ask..atleast if you ask now that will give them time between now and then to prep all the necessary paperwork so that when you go in on the 24th its that much quicker...

ofcourse they will want to do a vehicle inspection to make sure the car is gtg...so that would be the only real delayer in the process depending on how busy the service section is that day...

good stuff! ill have the GF call and see if they can get it all setup and ready. if not then we will just wait till monday/tuesday to pick it up. i think she already ordered a Fairlady Z emblem haha

i'm looking forward to the 185 miles each way. meeting up with AndyO in FTW and we're just gonna b-line it down there. hopefully the construction in Waco has lessened, but other than that it was smooth the last time. driving around with the gf or taking sales calls on my phone during the work week ruins the driving experience. at least on this trip i'll be able to have the music as loud as i want and have very little distraction. :driving:

I'm still planning on it, but it may not be in the Z. My wife and I were planning on leaving tonight after my family christmas to head to her sisters house, but with all of the damn snow that hit today, we most likely won't be able to take the Z down to austin :(
