TEIN has used its years of experience in various motor sports to produce a kit that provides the ultimate balance between comfort and performance. Developed for NISSAN 370Z (Z34) 09-10drivers seeking an aggressive coilover that can be used daily, and provide all the adjustments needed for circuit use. The FLEX damper Kit features the latest technology for all drivers who are seeking performance, and adjustability, while not giving up all ride comfort. We have incorporated separate spring perch height, and shell case length adjustment, which allows the suspension to retain more stroke and allows for more suspension tuning. The FLEX damper kit includes pillow ball upper mounts, which increase steering response; 16 levels of damping force adjustment, and is compatible with the EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) for added convenience and adjustability.

Features:
* Steel Construction
* Twin Tube internal construction
* Ride Height adjustable via threaded body and spring seats
* 16 way adjustable dampers, compression and rebound combined

We have these in stock and ready to ship! :)

Richie 09-03-2009 10:25 AM

i still cant understand the difference between these

Ryan@Forged 09-03-2009 10:29 AM

The monoflex are more of a track oriented coilover where the flex is a street/autox coilover ;)

Richie 09-03-2009 10:38 AM

also isnt it a waste of money getting these as they have EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) compatible and the 370z dosnt have that?

can you explain that to me? i really fancy getting tein coilovers

Ryan@Forged 09-03-2009 10:42 AM

They are EDFC compatable, but do not come with the EDFC controller. So in this since it is not a waste of money by any means ;) The coilovers work just fine without the EDFC. It is not needed to run these coilovers. Hope this helps!

rreign 09-03-2009 11:39 AM

that really is so damned expensive but I'm sure it'd be worth it. Free Bump

Richie 09-03-2009 12:15 PM

do you buy the controller from tein?

Ryan@Forged 09-03-2009 12:24 PM

I can sell you the EDFC as well, but it is an additional cost.

:iagree:

I had the Tein FLEX w/ EDFC on my S2000 and overall I have no complaints. These coilovers are good without EDFC, and even better with it.

The EDFC really gives the driver control over the coilover's performance and with the push of a button can alter the luxury feel of the car on daily roads or stiffen the coilovers up for a hard day at the track. Just like with a muscle when it is relaxed and then FLEXed. Great find Ryan and good luck with the sale :tup:.

how much extra is it?

Ryan@Forged 09-03-2009 03:24 PM

It's about $440 for the entire EDFC kit.

what does the EDFC do again? i forgot already lol

Ryan@Forged 09-04-2009 09:49 AM

Taken from TEIN's website. I hate to copy and paste, but it really is the best explanation. :)

The EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) makes it possible for the driver to control the damping force at the touch of a button while in the driver seat. This is accomplished by controlling stepping motors installed on each shock absorber. Because the damping force can be controlled with such ease, the driver can adjust the suspension to suit all road/track conditions. Thus allowing the driver to fully enjoy the driving experience.
