For the record: The 40th Anniversary Calipers will actually be cheaper unless you want a specific custom color of Red. We have the 40th anniversary Calipers in stock and ready to ship.

This Akebono master set is now available with the option of upgraded rotors, slotted, or drilled and slotted.

Select your upgraded rotors at the bottom of the page when you order this Akebono master set.

Z1 2 Piece Akebono Front Rotors

  • These rotors remove 20 lbs from the front suspension compared to stock, giving you reduced unsprung weight.
  • Open face design with expanding directional vane cooling.
  • Alloy rotor irons are heat-treated and stress relieved to deliver the best performance in all conditions.
  • E-coat finish to prevent breakdown and resistance to extreme temps.
  • Vented lightweight rotor hats machined from forged 6061 aluminum, finished with heat treating and a premium black-hard anodizing.

Being enthusiasts, we kept rotor rebuild cost reasonable without sacrificing top tier performance. Now you can perform at the track and look good doing it without breaking the bank. So go ahead, take 20 pounds off the front axle, you won't be disappointed.

How are you taking another 3 lbs off vs lets say DBA?

I'm not going to lie, it's pretty awesome, right?

We design our products, test them, and put them into production. The Z1 Motorsports 2-piece lightweight Akebono front rotors have been extensively torture tested on the street and the track.

Lightweight rotor hats are machined from forged 6061 aluminum blanks, and are finished with heat treating and a premium black-hard anodizing. Fastening hardware includes heat-treated M6 slot nuts and quenched and tempered SAE Grade 10.9 bolts, larger fasteners than the majority of our competitors’ 2-piece brake rotor hardware. These heavy-duty fasteners translate to higher yield and proof strengths, especially critical in systems as crucial as braking.

We have integrated this to make a lighter rotor taking lbs off from the competition.

Please give us a call to order our BA rotors; weigh, measure, mount, and enjoy! :happydance:

We are 6lbs per corner lighter than dba and 3 lbs lighter per corner than competitor's dba variant. We also removed more iron near the hub and on the rotor facings for a wider cooling vane. Remember ours are made only for the Z/G and not a variety of vehicles.
