The Gen 3 Intakes have been submitted to CARB for approval, so they are pending at this time. We have a large number of intakes CARB approved, and do not anticipate any issues with getting these. Unfortunately CARB can take a little while with their processing, but it shouldn't be too much longer. |
I sent u a message

i just order one yesterday and i just read somewhere in the forums that this exhaust has a hissing sound to it that doesnt sound normal is that true?
|
Just got Stillen exhaust put in and I heard a clanking noise after driving like 3 minutes maybe 5 please help o yea the instruction said move silent damper from oem to new Stillen exhaust and the instruction mentioned that there is 4 silent damper but the mechainc said only 2 where found? does anyone have a picture of the silent damper so i can make sure that was the mechanic pointed to was the silent damper. and also when i was parking my car i look out the passenger window and saw smoke is this normal in the begining?

Yeah there are only two dampers, I'm sure your mechanic is looking at the right thing. The reference to 4 is probably from them copying the instructions from another car like maybe a G37. There shouldn't be any "clanking noise" from the new exhaust, go back to your mechanic and let him hear it. Your smoke question is a bit vague to diagnose via forums, could be any number of things. Could be a leak in the midsection, could just be the anti-seize compound burning off from the flange bolts (that smokes for a little while). Could just be smoke out of your tailpipes blowing up by the window, beats me. |
ima be piss if its the mechanics fault.
