keep this between the two of us, but word on the grape vine is.... All the professionals are saying this is the year of the kicker, so i would probably take kickers with my first two picks.... ummmm... then a defense. yeah! Do that!

You're welcome.. No charge for the free advise :roflpuke2: :tiphat:

Peyton is gonna need back surgery after carrying your fantasy team all year! Hahaha

vividracing 08-27-2014 09:34 PM

Who got the best rated draft? Oh yeah.... ME! Lol

H2O_Doc 08-27-2014 10:37 PM

I'm may have picked a shitty team but no worries, I'm happy to come from behind.

We are each graded on our draft.

H2O_Doc 08-28-2014 06:36 PM

So the nerd in me wants to see if grades correlate with performance at the end of the year.

I'm just glad I didn't have to sleep with the prof to pass.

vividracing 08-28-2014 06:40 PM

Its basically off off projected points, and strength of schedule.

Technically if everyone preforms how they SHOULD, it should be accurate.... So basically what im saying is, it doesnt mean **** lol

I need to start drafting with Yahoo! more often. These notes have me dying laughing.

Vivid Ralph knows this is American football, right? They elected to go with two kickers, instead of stockpiling depth at other positions.

vividracing 08-29-2014 01:10 AM

What's funny about that is, I logged out before I even picked a kicker or a defense lol.. that's like yahoo talking **** in itself lol

big daddy 08-29-2014 03:47 PM

I thought it was a great draft and we should have a competitive league

I'd like to say thanks for joining and drafting like crap :stirthepot:

yes but the RB offered is a risky pick up these days lol

Cmike2780 09-03-2014 11:23 AM

Hey Guys,

Need some advice. I'm sure this probably happens all the time, but some guys in my league are giving me crap for a trade.

During the draft I got the following
QB: Brady & Eli Manning
WR: Welker (I know, I know), Cruz, Nicks & Kenny Stills
TE: Witten and Charles Clay
RB: Foster, Jamaal Charles, Chris Johnson and Blount
DEF: San Fran & Buffalo
K: Gostkowski

Anyway, I thought I was really lacking in the WR spot. I saw that one other team drafted Cam Newton and Webb....the back-up to Cam Newtons back-up. Bad call on his part, but it looked like he was doing some damage control after the draft. I figured it was a long shot trade, but I sent the offer anyways. I offered Eli Manning for Antonio Brown. He's a Giants fan and it was worth offering. I thought he'd counter, but he took the trade straight up. Maybe it was just to mess with me, but he knew what he was doing and even says he has faith in Eli. Trade went through pending any veto's. No veto's and it was finalized a few days ago.

Here's where it gets messy. Yesterday, certain people started complaining to the commissioner that it was an unfair trade...that my team is stacked now. Some are even threatening to leave if there isn't a revote...which is BS. I moved maybe one spot up and I'm rank sixth overall in the projections. I guess my question is, how is any of this even an issue? They're not screaming re-draft because some people had less than ideal picks. Heck, I wouldn't mind a re-draft now knowing Welker is out for at least four games. ...but that wouldn't be fair. I just don't think all this anger is justified and I don't want them using this an excuse if I beat them. There's absolutely no collusion going on and now some people want a revote!? Because some weren't paying attention? wtf? I thought the purpose of the veto was to stop collusion between two players, not to prevent other teams from being too strong to protect your own interest. The draft results have some teams stacked to begin with, which makes all this all the more absurd.

What do you guys think? Am I wrong for not backing down on this? I wasn't taking advantage of anyone and he accepted the trade on purpose.

You did the right thing and I wouldn't do a thing. If they don't like it they don't have to play. They had their time/turn to protest the trade.

vividracing 09-09-2014 03:54 PM

Well being a Charger can, last night was kinda bittersweet. I only won my game by about 12 points, and rivers was the only player left playing on my opponents team, so i wanted my chargers to win, i just didnt want Rivers to throw the ball.... Glad i can always count on the stupid chargers. :shakes head:
