While on paper they all look great but everyone will remember they couldn't bring home the championship.

The other side of that...the Jordans, the Kobes, the Magics...etc. They delivered. These guys were fun to watch. What made MJ so great it? Was it the dunk from the free throw. Was it the spectacular shots he made when it looked impossible. Or was it him nailing the dagger with time running out to seal the deal on the Championship. That is the will of a Champion.

While the Heat and Lebron came out fierce last night and kept the hammer down long enough to escape with the win. They have shown they are capable of doing this. Lebron is capable. The issue is they cant do it for the 4 out of 7 games needed before the opposing team is able to. The Thunder start slow something they need to fix. Lebron needs to prove he is capable of taking over a series. Keep putting up his numbers. But when it gets tight int he 4th and Durant, Westbrook, and Harden are catching fire. This is where they crumble when the game is on the line. Lebron and the Heat do not step up. If he is going to do it and get at least 1 of those not 6, not 7, not 8...rings then this is the year. Kevin Durant and the Thunder are not going anywhere.

Not much more to say than that

You are correct his number are best in the lleague at the moment but for me he isn't king because I personally have no respect for him. I think he's arrogant and spoiled. And like others mentioned he seems to play with lack if heart. If he wanted it.more he could be greatest ever. But he will not be that. He will be greatest of his generation, and probably top 20 all time maybe top 10 but there are deserving guys there too.

Which reminds another reason you can't just look at numbers... the game is constantly changing. That's why you. Can't compare lebron to players if 80s/90s, and players of 80s/90s can't be compare to players of 60s. For that reason he wont be better all time then say Jordan, wilt, magic, bird, Kareem, and other greats.

I would say that him not being KING cannot be judged by your opinion. :icon17:

But I understand what you are saying as I have heard it from many people, that he is arrogant, egoistic, over confident maybe? But see at the end of the day I don't care about "personal" traits, some of the leagues greatest were dickheads, if a player can put up numbers perform great and entertain the crowd, I love to watch him play. Lebron is an artist on the floor. (and his fg%, rbds, #s are amazing) Plain and simple. Thats why he has my utmost respect.

Also, when I refer to him being the KING, I mean it as an INDVIDUAL player. Which with you both have agreed upon. I feel that as a team yes the Heat still have a long way to go.BUT< People need to stop crticizing Lebron on one thing and one thing only, that he doesn't have a ring. Once again I don't fully blame Lebron becasue as I said its a team effort, Lebron can only carry his team so far but at the end of the day he needs support from his team. Which is why I actually liked last nights game against OKC, Wade and Bosh stepped up big time, and who can forget the silent snake Shane battier?? Hes been red hot from the 3 point line. Yesterday nights game was more well balanced and it wasn't a Lebron dominated game. This is what the Heat needs to do more. and credit to OKC they are a really good team. Harden stepped up big time and when Durant had the early fouls early in the game. Im excited for game 3, 4,5 all on Miami homecourt should be exciting.:tup:

On the other hand OKC cannot win taking a beating of 13 to 17 points in the 1st Qtr and then try to comeback with Miami, is not going to happen.

Are We Exaggerating the Exploits of Michael Jordan in the Present Era? | Bleacher Report

Really good article comparing kobe, his airness, and "king" james.

Honestly this article is great. I posted it in the prems section, figure I'd share it here.

And I think the early fouls played a much bigger role than we usually give credit for.

I agree. But that is to say that OKC will get off to a slow start for the remainder of games played in the Finals. They will make corrections, this is a young team.

It was a good game, however the free throws missed by OKC and the early foul problems for Durant decrease the chances for OKC.

Anyway is not over. ;)

Far from over if anything OKC will put up a fight to redeem themselves in game 4. :icon17::tup:

lebron james = paul pierce :icon08:

westbrook's style of play is hit or miss, and in this series, very, very much a miss.

Again, they need more than three players to win a championship. When Hall of Famers like Jordan, Bird, Magic and others has done it in style.
