Things aren't back to normal until the red sox are chasing a title then blow it at the end.

Well when I made the comment was at the begining of the season, however any team can go to a lucky or unlucky streak anytime during the season.

To be fair to the Os, they have played better than some other teams so far even with the straight loses.

Well for now Boston is W-29 L-22, one game ahead of the NYY.

Lemers 05-28-2011 11:14 PM

Yeah I'd want to say anything and jinks them, but I am very happy right now.

Freaking NYY cannot shake away the Socks, they keep hanging around. Hope is this closed in October.

Lemers 06-06-2011 10:28 PM

Going to NY for a 3 game series; sox back by 1 game. It's gonna be good too bad I'm in the field and can only listen to it on my iPhone.

Where you got that from? MLB.com has the NYY today by 1 game ahead of the Soxs. They have been trailing since May 30.

They can be tie tonight for 1st place tonight.... :crossfingers: :D

Lemers 06-07-2011 08:55 PM

Yes. If NY is ahead by 1 game than the Sox are behind by 1 game. I'm not following why you questioned me. And yes with a Sox win it will be tied. I thought you were a yanks fan. Why would you want it tied?

blue660r01 06-07-2011 09:22 PM

No if Boston wins I think the Yankees are up .5 since Boston played 2 more

WOW, easy there! Well you posted "Sox back by 1 game" that's why.

No need to get upset. :shakes head:

I guess you are in another zone....

tomnavone 06-07-2011 10:10 PM

How bout them GIANTS?

Lemers 06-07-2011 10:56 PM

Sox back by 1 means behind by 1. Anyways it's even with yanks ahead by just 2 percentage points.

OK, I guess you are OK now... :ugh2:

Red Sox complete a 3 game sweep of the Yankees in New York. The sox have a 2 game lead in the East and are the best team in the AL. Go Sox!

Good for you!

The NYY needed some good pitchers signed during the off season. That was an issue that I knew was going to kill them during the regular season, especially to get rid off AJ Burnett.

Anyway Go NYY, is not over until the fat lady sings! ;)

Lemers 06-10-2011 01:31 PM

It's not so much the Yankees starting pitching as it is the middle relief. With Jaba out for what looks like the rest of the year there isn't anything between the starters and Mariano.

Yeah, but the starters including CC have not look good this season. Most of them cannot pitch a decent 5 to 6 innings, so the middle relievers like you said are not there either.

I hate to say it, but the NYY are where they are only because of the long ball.

Just remember the red sox have climbed out of a miserable start, but tend to be very streaky. Loss 8 win 6 loss 3 win 6. What I'd like to see is more of a 3 of 4 at home and 2 of 3 or .500. On the road. Win streaks are fun but if they come with longer lossing streaks then it will be the rays this year.

They LOOKED like they had a run at it at the begining of the season but not now.

Peter Angelos destroyed that once proud franchise. It's now such a joke. It's embarrassing.

They've got some bright spots, and I'm sure Wieters is one of the top catchers in the game defensively. But when I was young, the Orioles could actually win.

:shakes head:

Their world series dreams retired with Cal

Jeter gets 3,000th hit, first Yankee to do it

Derek Jeter homers for his 3,000th hit, making him the first player to reach the mark with the New York Yankees.

Jeter hit the milestone with a drive to left field with one out in the third inning Saturday at Yankee Stadium. He became the 28th major leaguer overall to get 3,000.

Jeter singled in the first inning to get close, then got the historic hit against Tampa Bay All-Star David Price.

Man that is a great series!

Lemers 08-25-2011 05:42 PM

I'm back in El Paso. Even though the Red Sox lost the first game the next 2 were worth it. They still have 1 more in Texas lets hope they win.

Well you know me, I hope they lose tonight and go back down to 1 game from NYY.

That BTW today they gave a beating to the A's.

Lemers 08-25-2011 07:31 PM

Lemers 08-26-2011 03:22 PM

I guess I'm going for Baltimore this weekend. 5 games? Are there some make up games in there? When will they make up these if the hurricane causes any cancelations?

One of the games is a make-up game. They're playing a double header tomorrow. Don't know if they make up due to rain out tho.

Lemers 08-26-2011 04:10 PM

As long as the game plays into the final standings (Yankees are only 1 game behind the Red Sox) then MLB will try to schedule it

I don't think there are going to be any games on the East Coast tomorrow from DC to Boston because of the Hurricane.

BTW, Fcking AJ Burnett cannot event throw a decent game against the Orioles. I don't fking know why the Yankess didn't get rid off his damn a$$.

Lemers 08-26-2011 11:26 PM

Because when the Yankees over pay for player it makes it hard to dump him off on another team.
