Picked up a bag, 3 wood, sandwedge, and the Scotty Cameron Del Mar putter last night. Ordered my 3H, 4H, 5-P, and gap wedge last night. Bad news is that set isn't quite available with the hybrids until the 13th and won't ship until 12/24... so looks like I won't be playing with new clubs until early January. :( |

Would be pretty fun. |

Dude, FP, 100% right on the Scotty Cameron. I have only played 18 holes with it and I love it.
First put ever with it, 40ft, drained it. :icon17: The new clubs are awesome. Now I just need to work on my consistency. I'm so pumped to play some more! |

Went last night and worked on my swing and with my fairway woods/hybrids I think I've fixed my slice. Getting a nice draw now - I just need to remember what I did when I'm out on the course.
My driver on the other hand, still gotta work on that. I tried the same technique and I couldn't quite get the same results consistently. I don't get how they can be so different? |

trust me i ask myself the same thing a lot as well. part that makes me mad is i'll go to the range at a course, kill my driver, get to first tee, shank one right....:shakes head: |
Yeah. I gotta some how figure out how to make my brain stfu. I dunno, but it's frustrating.
I could still be swinging too hard too. I try to not do it, but sometimes it just happens. |

calm mind and calm hands are a solid way to get a good tempo and swing. |
Being genetically predisposed to low brain activity is beneficial to a golfer? :icon14:
No wonder I used to be a decent golfer in high school :icon17: |

makes sense since i'm better when i'm drunk. |
Ugh, how I wished I played golf in HS. I did recreationaly, but not a lot. I can only imagine how good I'd be if I had all those years of playing experience. :shakes head:

Does anyone golf in or around the Irvine, California Area? Looking for recommendations for courses and or a partner or two or three for some golfing Saturday February 22nd and Sunday the 23rd.
I will be traveling to Irvine for about a week, coming from Chicago. The reason I am heading out there is for some Calypso Software Training at Carl Zeiss's metrolegy lab. Will be Training on CMM's and VMM's. Metrology is the science of measurement if anyone was wondering and a CMM is a coordinate measuring Machine. (V=visual) Really looking forward to warmer weather and not having to wear boots. |
