I think he scheduled the hour long special with intentions of re-signing with the Cavs but now that he has possibly changed his mind it would be terrible to see him make the announcement to go to Miami. Be interesting to see what the fans of Cleveland will do in retaliation!! He will win in Miami but wont go down as one as the all time greats like Jordan,Kobe, etc. This will still be Wade's team and hes the one with a ring already. He should be crowned king of LeBron goes

de_dust 07-08-2010 11:14 AM

NEW JERSEY (soon to be Brooklyn).... hahahah... he's teaming up with jayz... but forreals though, i think he's goin there ...

that wouldnt make sense though..out of all the teams in the hunt for him New Jersey has the least to offer. They were the worst team last year!!

ok so brook lopez (c), derrick favors(pf), lebron (sf), courtney lee(sg), devin harris (pg)... with avery johnson as a coach... i dont think "the worst team last year" argument applies anymore... even without lebron, they'll probably do okay... besides they drafted the kid that dunked on lebron... hhahahah

kgreen 07-08-2010 11:53 AM

hmm so ok your telling me a team with a rookie pf, an ok center, bad shooting guard and a good point is better than what he has in cleveland!? cleveland with lebron would be whoop the nets with lebron period and dont forget the bench players. nets bench cant even compare to cleveland. I hope the whole point of him doing this is to get better and if we went to the nets he wouldnt win a ring. Not that im pulling "the worst team last year" but it doesnt make sense to just add him and think we just went from worst to best. His best bet would go to miami, cleveland, and new york. New York because of theyre cap space and they still make things happen next year with talks of Melo.

looks like Miami...those ******* lucky bastards!!!

wishihadnav 07-08-2010 11:59 AM

i saw this coming a week ago..i knew something fishy was going on during the draft...

kgreen 07-08-2010 12:01 PM

a week ago i thought deal in Miami would be impossible! damn was i wrong!

de_dust 07-08-2010 12:04 PM

i see ur point...but i think ur underestimating lopez and favors... answer me this though.. how can miami, cleveland, and new york go against howard or garnet+perkins.... even granted that each of those teams have lbj...

wishihadnav 07-08-2010 12:08 PM

Jersey is ok..they might snatch the 6/7 seed next year but far from being a factor..the east will be interesting to watch next season..i cant wait!

Howard is a easy one...his dumbass takes himself out of the game with dumb fouls! i love him but damn he can be an idiot. Garnett and perk will thats a good match up but i look at it a different way. For miami and new york..both teams will have 2 possibly 3 all stars..gotta double team both of them so i can see it as pick your poison. Double team lbj give it to stoudemire or wade or bosh. Especially with miami wade and lbj are good pick n roll guards so if u double team u are dead! if he goes they will sloughter every team with the pick n roll with either guard and bosh setting the picks and the opposite guard waiting in the corner for an open 3.

Dear LeBron,

You are an egotistical douchebag.

fuck you lebron james, goddamn traitor.

Waiz 07-08-2010 08:34 PM

Miami is the place for LBJ, it should be an interesting season.

Soon 07-08-2010 08:45 PM

damn guess the Knicks will continue to suck

Knicks will continue their tradition of disapointment for many years to come..they are the east coast clippers..hahaha!

wishihadnav 07-08-2010 08:57 PM

Forget about Lebron n Miami..the ******* Celtics got Jermaine Oneal!..we'll be seeing them again next year in the finals..

Red370 07-08-2010 09:05 PM

I think Miami's salary cap will be eclipsed by the 3 egos that will clash on a nightly basis when the season begins... this team is fail.

blue660r01 07-08-2010 09:13 PM

I will laugh if the Heat dont make the playoffs.

Red370 07-08-2010 09:39 PM

as much as I hate to admit it, I think I just became a fan, of any team, that lays the smack down on the heat.

WOW, that's terrible.

Here's what I foresee:

Lebron and Dwayne will be like Shaq and Kobe of the Lakers. They will have the ability to click like its nothing, or clash over dumb **** like a bad pass during a shoot around.

Bosh will turn out to be an above average center rather than a superstar. He did great in Toronto, but look at the people around him there. Every team needs someone to be the man, but as Ronald Flip Murray so beautifully demonstrated, that doesn't mean you're even average when playing with another star. I think Bosh's stats will fade in Miami in terms of points and rebounds.

de_dust 07-09-2010 12:36 AM

i dont understand why there is so much haterade going on... lebron never did anything bad during his career with the cavs... he tried his best to get them to win the championship regardless of who they teamed him up with... to think these guys have ego shows that you do not follow basketball at all... wade and lbj are the most unselfish superstars in the nba that's why this team will definitely work ... it wouldnt be as easy as they think to win the championship because bosh is still suspect on defense as a center ... but lbj and wade front court combo is just ridiculous...

Red370 07-09-2010 04:29 AM

I think this pretty much sums up how all fans in cleveland feel.

ct63084 07-09-2010 05:18 AM

I thought he was staying when he was going to make a live announcement. I thought to myself he didn't have the balls to go to a press conference and shove it to the cav fans. Lol was i wrong! Would the team work, no one knows what I do know is that the East is stacked and boy the heat better have a good bench cause the magic, bulls and celtics are pretty deep team.

xiven 07-09-2010 08:13 AM

How is LeBron a traitor? Cleveland never gave him enough support to win a championship. Take him out of the game and they'd be lucky if they won. Why did they get so many wins last season? Hmm...I wonder

I'm happy for him. I don't blame him for wanting to leave and go to a team that has a chance to win a championship. Its gotta be a sigh of relief for him. He doesn't have to carry the team anymore just to win a game. And who wouldn't want to move to South Beach?

Tronchaser 07-09-2010 08:41 AM

Very anti-climactic announcement if you ask me! Although, the prices for Thunder/Heat tickets are going to go through the roof here in OKC. I'll make sure I have season tickets. :)

I will finally be heard yelling "LET'S GO LAKERS" when they play the Heat.

Hell, I will be yelling "LET'S GO (insert team name here)" anytime they play the Heat. But I expect only the Lakers, Magic, and Thunder will pose a real threat to them.

xiven 07-09-2010 10:01 AM

don't forget boston

Matt 07-09-2010 10:55 AM

I think it's funny that Cleveland, NY and Chicago all think Lebron is unimportant now, and they don't need him to win a championship. All that smack-talk when last night they were all staring at the tv hoping he said their team.

If he chose Cleveland, people would say he's doing it for money. If he chose NY or Chicago, people would say he's doing it for the fame. He makes the one choice that has the best chance of putting a ring on his finger, the single thing EVERYONE says a "champion" needs, and he gets burned in effigy. Crazy.

Good for you Lebron. However, I'm still not rooting for the Heat.

Root for a real superstar instead! My boy Kevin Durant!

wishihadnav 07-09-2010 12:00 PM

the problem with Miami is that they have no Defense (not that they had one before)..also no Center and Bench..they still have alot of pieces missing..they're going to need a BIG body in the middle..Bosh really isnt a center but more of a power..also they're missing a shooter..the list goes on and on...

They got their shooter today, Mike Miller from the Wizards. I thought we had just picked him up...oh well. Off to Miami he goes. He's a great shooter.
