Think it was once that the Yankees were both the most popular team and the most hated. Not worried about how popular the red sox are or that Yankees fans turned out in force to make the Red Sox the most hated. I've been a fan my whole life through good (2004 and 2007) and bad (Billy bunkner fire twice by the Red Sox). And when is the Yankee owenership going to go nuts? Well the Yankees are 15-7(2nd) only 1.5 game behind 1st place and the Red Sux(4th) are 11-11, thanks to Baltimore that have not done $hit since the 80s, so the Sux can't go any dipper.
