All Red Bull Front Row -- will be interesting to see how the race plays out -- most interesting was to see the delta between Lewis & Jensen, one makes it to P4 with a struggling car and the other doesn't make it past Q2 -- interesting...

Red Bulls will dominate. I bet one of them is going to break, though. Probably Vettel... he's harder on the car than Webber.

Agreed, I think the only way anyone else has a chance for 1&2 is for a wreck or mechanical failure with one (or both) of the RBs - everyone else is racing for the last podium position....
OK, back to work, gotta get stuff done before the Cup race tonight.....

Just got back from the race. amazing atmosphere at silverstone. Everyone cheered when Vettel went off lol. the crowd went crazy every time Hamilton got close to Webber. To bad he couldn't win it though. I'm still glad Webber won it over Vettel to show hes just as good as that brat.

It also says he wouldn't have stayed if he would have known he'd be number 2 to Vettel...

So what was the deal with the weird weather today -- was that actually the Sun shinning at Silverstone? Unheard of...... Was an interesting race, especially with Alonzo "self destructing"...

shaun66 07-11-2010 03:44 PM

yeah it was like 80 degrees there, sun shining, no humidity really nice.3 days earlier it was raining as normal it was weird. We were at copse corner under a cover though. when Alosno came in the pits for a front wing change everyone laughed and booed him. there must have been 5 ferrari fans and a thousnd Mclaren fans in our grandstand lol.

Agreed, right now it looks like the McLaren boys are happy to take what the cars will give them -- I think the RB guys, albeit they certainly have very fast cars, are busy being worried about who is getting preferential treatment, etc.

Found it interesting the McLarens apparently went backwards with the older exhaust setup when the new ones ended up so slow on Friday -- they are acting like a team that wants to win a constructor's championship.

Looking forward to the rest of the season

shaun66 07-12-2010 06:13 AM

yeah if Mclaren can keep acting like a team then they're in pretty good shape. I think the red bull guys are going to ruin each others championship hopes at this rate, again they gave each other no room at the start.

When I get home next week ill try and post some pics of the circuit if they are any good.

It's all Vettel if you ask me. I feel bad for Mark.

I agree, I find myself cheering for Webber over Vettel with that team!

shaun66 07-12-2010 12:02 PM

Yeah Vettel is a spoiled muk. hes good, but Webber is just as good to and he deserves it more than him since this is probably one of his last few years in formula 1 to win a championship. I love Webbers attitude when the press asks about the team relations at the moment. Its sad the team will side Vettel all the way since hes been through all the young drivers programs through red bull and would kick out webber first.

Yup. The stuff that's going on within that team is pretty sad.

I think overall Webber is the better driver of the two. He's much smoother and has a cooler head. Vettel is too volatile and he's always breaking the car. Whether he gets better with age... who knows. He's probably the Kyle Busch of F1. Fast as hell but his own worst enemy.

shaun66 07-12-2010 12:18 PM

Yeah i agree 100%. I just hope it doesn't boil over to quick and screw Webbers chances of staying in f1.

Interesting new section to the track, very fast. but it was bumby cause you could see the cars fidgeting during practice and qualifying. Mid corner there is a dip you can see from the grandstands with binoculars. Didn't they know that would be a problem!

I'm curious how the new start/finish (pits) location will work with the track layout and spectator access!! I guess we'll see next year!
