Do we know the corresponding tire compounds and fuel loads of these lap times? Sorry I follow F1 very loosely. Just wondering if Ferrari and Mercedes are closing the gap with RB.

nope its all over the place, fuel loads, tire choices, setups everything..
if you look at the morning time, William's was 2nd, but in watching the testing, they ran a tire not to be used there next weekend.

tire choices this year
c0, c1, c2, c3, c4, C5 - believe these are all dry C0 is the hardness to c5 softness
c6 wet..

I think they are running C0, C1, C2 for next weekend...

Note: Fastest times this morning have tire they ran on.

post any questions here, lots of people will help out

Of course too early, and it's just testing, but it would be cool if this is a sign of a Godlonso season.

Listening to the announcers, C4 and C5 tires being run, to get an some feedback for later in the year.

Alfa Romeo - power drivetrain issues
McLaren - are in trouble, that is all the talk is about, and something not right on how the front brakes/air devices, seems they keep shaking.
Aston Martin - may have gotten it right
Haas - hear nothing about them, and lap counts are good. no news -good news

Aston might be the flavor of the season for me while I look out for a Ferrari tragedy to unfold again.

Stroll did what he did still coming back from his wrist injury.

Alonso gonna Alonso.

ZCanadian 03-05-2023 09:37 AM

Motorsport Week is reporting that Ferrari will start Leclerc on his second energy store and control electronics. So much for an off-season focus on reliability. First he loses bodywork on his first hot lap of the year, then he needs new PU components before the first race starts.
Sorry, Tifosi. Maybe 2024!

Overall a bit boring, consider how exciting practice and first two sessions of qualifications were.

Happy for Alonso and Williams getting a point

ZontheRocks 03-06-2023 04:43 AM

Not the start I was hoping for for Charlie and his new boss (especially with Mr. Ferrari at the race).

Fernando Alonso showing the young guns how to do it! That man can drive!
