Haas announced they will stick with the same driver lineup next year.
In other news, Haas finishes the 2022 season without a single point - once again.

Yes, but unfortunately for McLaren, Monza is kind of a one-off.
Between a track suited for their car, the pole sitter stuck with an engine penalty, and the loss of the two top contenders, it was a perfect storm for a papaya 1-2 finish. I doubt that the gods will favour them so well again in the remaining races.

As for Bottas, if he couldn't pass the 12 slowest cars on the grid in a Mercedes at Monza, well, he doesn't deserve to be driving F1. I'm a fan, and he did well, but even I have to admit that charging through the slow traffic is not really an achievement. Especially when it cost him a set of tires to get there.

Bottas was expected to do exactly what he did. The track yielded the overtake velocity required. Certainly not at Zandvoort lol :)

LOL that's a hot take. Where was that synopsis last year at Monza?!

Thinking that Max will have a harder time of getting through the pack this weekend than Bottas did last race. But we'll see.

High of 18 and chance of rain all weekend. Heavier on Sunday, but he doesn't have to push quali if he's starting from the back anyway.

I heard it's going to be dry on Sunday, but very wet Saturday. This weekend is likely a throw-away for RB as Their car has never been good here. Even the onboards from practice showed Max's car struggling for grip. Overtaking is actually doable here with a good car, but other than the Alpha Tauris, I don't see anyone doing him favors to get to the front, especially Ferrari and McLaren locked in for an intense battle to the end of the year for 3rd place.

Ferrari looks strong here with Leclerc's upgraded energy store.

Depending on the roulette that is wet qualy, assuming its run, Max will plateau and not make progress depending on the pace and tires he can sustain. Predictions are P4. I say P6.

If Prac 3 and Qualy are not run, the grid is set based on Prac 2 results from today.

Max is got to finish to place! Let's see how much patience and speed he has.

Yes, I mis-typed Sunday. Meant Sat/quali.

Agree with your assessment, and good point about some of the races for lesser places not making his progress through the pack any easier. Night and day to Bottas in Monza.

Might be simpler to fake an electrical problem, to retire and come back next race on pole with a nee engine!

well quals happen and Norris is on the pole and Hamilton done crash twice, once in pit lane that slowed Bottas getting out and on the track...

Interesting, wonder if Ham is trying to give it away... lots of little mistakes from him this year....

I would like Ham to get his 8th, also would like Max to win his 1st. Just torn, cause RB lots of comments and MB/Ham lots of little opps

just my 2 thought

LH has fully 'peaked' as competitor. He should have retired last year. Superb career and out on top - no question. If he takes the title it will not be due to consistent skill this year. He's looking more like Michael in 2006 - ups and downs, mistakes, silly Monaco qualy etc. The flair was gone.....

Alonso in that car would be mighty. He might be the exception overall but Ocon is holding up well. Sorry gents but age matters and its unpredictable. Vettel peaked years ago - literal down hill slide since about 2018 now.

Im quite enjoyiing the lack of LH and Max around last race and today. Better season without them. Place them on a Kart - Circuit and let us enjoy the competition without them and needless drama they bring. Do not miss them at all.

Reality is you can't be perfect all the time. Just the way it is.

Duck yeah those top 3 in QP!

LH just having a bad session. That pit hit and delay cost him getting to try for a proper lap. Might cost him the championship too because this otherwise was an up-for-grabs win for someone at his level.

Thinking Max just aims for a safe race. That power unit to pay dividends in the long run.
