Well, it's almost here. Thoughts? Predictions? Let's begin. Here are the groups:

I bet Russia won’t even pass the first group, because of Uruguay

In all fairness, I think Russia will finish second in their group.

My predictions for Match Day 1; Russia 2 : Saudi Arabia 0

The final score between Russia and Saudi Arabia was 5:0. The score was indicative of the game!

Three interesting games today:
Uruguay 1 : Egypt 0
Iran 1: Morocco 0
Spain 3 : Portugal 3

I'm not much of a soccer/futbol fan, but watched the Portugal/Spain match. Fantastic! My only complaint is how can a game end in a tie. Like kissing your sister.

That's football for you. Sometimes the best games end tied or even scoreless. Since a winner is not required in the group stages, a tied game is ok. Once you are into the next round, the elimination round, a winner is required. Hence the extra time and penalty kicks if needed.

Wow, such poor interest in the biggest sporting event in the world.

Been watching every game and it’s really hard to tell who is gonna take it this year. Some great teams not playing well and some underrated teams off to a great start. Still can’t believe Germany didn’t make it out of group play. Also would have liked to see Nigeria make it out of the group.

Right now it’s looking like France is going to be the team to beat

Our next play will be against Croatia this Saturday. Hopes to win
France will be playing with Uruguay in 1/4
