It is a shame that every race couldn't be like Abu Dhabi. Nico can suck it!

with all the top drivers already contracted... it's difficult for mercedes to have two front runners next season, thus it's going to hurt pretty bad on their constructor title, thus the constructor title is most likely to be a fight between ferrari and red bull.

also, whoever get the seat at mercedes next season, he's gonna spend the whole season under the pressure and shadow of hamilton, and hamilton is going to be even more cocky than he is right not since he is the obvious #1 driver in the team...

in one way, i think it is a good thing because mercedes is not going to be as dominant as they are currently.

From this link - https://joesaward.wordpress.com/2016...os-retirement/

Most of us spend our lives on the treadmill, running along like hamsters in their wheels, keeping the banks happy. We cannot just walk away and live happily ever after. We dream about it.

We also know that very few can drift along doing nothing. We need goals and targets, just as we need families. One can survive with greed, ambition and party girls, but they feel like pretty hollow motivations when you watch your children grow up and when you share your life with a special partner. Nico is a man who knows what he wants and also understands his limitations. He has achieved his goal and once is enough. Doing it again is of little interest. He’s not running away. He’s not a coward, nor frightened. He just doesn’t need it any more and we should respect that and respect his desire to enjoy time with his wife, Vivian, and their young daughter Alaļa.

No LH didnt put the work in this year. Bad starts and bad races. Baku comes to mind and he was pissed at the team as to how they handled the incident in Spain. This was the year LH beat himself by not working hard enough. Period.
His lack of preparation was magnified by his own bad luck with the car. Nico suffered the same in the past.

Would probably be a good fit, although I'd rather see someone that would challenge Hamilton more like Nico did.

it's the fact of if he wants to be a #2 at mercedes and stamped by hamilton a big time...

or if he wants to be positioned as the #1/priority driver @ williams and get all the respect that he deserved to have.

the thing is, unless he is a Vettel or Alonso, otherwise he won't be able to fight for the DC against hamilton even they both in the same car. thus he'll be like another rosberg...

Valteri might just surprise us all. The boy is smooth and has done an amazing job defending against faster cars the last 2 years. I wont under estimate him just yet. We do not know how he will adapt at Mercedes yet.

he is a fast driver, I do agree, I just feel bad if he goes to mercedes because I am pretty sure mercedes always put hamilton as #1, and hamilton himself is such a selfish whining kid.

unless, if he beats hamilton a big time at the first race, then things might change.

I do hope someone, driving mercedes or whatever, can beat hamilton a big time though.
