sounds just like Milan when they got too dependent on Kaka and once he left Milan went to sh1t. damn you Berlusconi and Galliani!! speaking of F Man U and Milan, this comes to my mind.....yessss that was a GREAT DAY, after seeing that goal i ran like a baby being chased by bees all over my apt :happydance:

Ummm Milan is far from bad without Kaka. I thought you're a Milan fan

Ronaldinho ftw. They just need to get a better striker to go up with Pato and solidify that D line. Im a big Bayern fan so trust me....I wouldnt say Milan has the talent if I didnt think so.

Red370 04-12-2010 06:45 PM

Wonder how our boy gooch is going to break into the lineup, hopefully once he gets back from injury, Nesta will retire and he'll take the spot.

Red370 04-12-2010 06:47 PM

Kaka, while a great player, reminds me alot of Theo Walcott, he has moments of brilliance, then days when you dont even realize hes on the pitch. Kinda like Sheva when he was having his glory days in Milan.

blue660r01 04-12-2010 06:47 PM

Yeah Nesta is getting up there in age

His injury is what has been killing him at Madrid. Plus they dont use him how he should be used. Id be glad for Bayern to take him and throw him as CAM.

Gooch is way to slow, he's got a long way to reach Nesta's level....the one to take Nesta's spot will be Thiago Silva, he's money just lacks the consistency and better defenders to play with him...Favalli, Bonera are way to slow n old now....Antonini seems to be stepping it up, hope he sustains his form.

i am a Milan fan, worded my post wrong lol. i feel Milan is starting to shape up but there is only so much the old players can do and i mean they are relying on Pato to do everything....he needs help cuz Ronaldinho can make the play and pass but Pato lacks some additional 1v1 skill against defenders IMO

RED i agree with BLUE here, the injury is haunting him and he needs to be played in his spot.

I definitely wouldnt go so far as to say Gooch is too slow, does USA vs. Spain in the Confederations Cup ring a bell? Iniesta, Xavi, David Villa, straight shut da F down by Gooch and Demerit. I think Gooch would fit into the team well, he just needs time to adjust to Italian calcio, completely different style of play there than Belgium.

blue660r01 04-13-2010 01:24 AM

Placement and marking can also counter speed....but he could easily be burned.

So can Vidic, Pique, Puyol, Nesta, the list goes on, easily remedied by physical play and knocking the little speedy shits off the ball and assistance by central midfielders/backs on the wings.

blue660r01 04-13-2010 01:49 AM

Onyewu will never be on Nesta and Puyols level...Ever

No one claimed he would, but to say that tall beefy defenders cant handle smaller more agile opponents is an incorrect assumption.

batman_4 04-13-2010 08:50 AM

Why is Gooch even on the same sentence w/Puyol :icon14:....that guy is an animal

is Gooch going to be ready for the world cup? i remember Milan was thinking on Loaning him out...

blue660r01 04-13-2010 12:21 PM

blue660r01 04-13-2010 01:01 PM

Doubtful

Red370 04-13-2010 04:59 PM

Oh shyt! RVP is back in the lineup against Tottenham! Wont start but he'd be a great boost from the bench at 75'

so sad really, i remember the Ronaldo of yesteryear, back in the Barca days with Rivaldo and Guardiola, then the injury plagued career at Inter, I used to watch him in awe, used to make beating defenders look easy. I idolized the guy, even had his blue/yellow nike mercurials when I played ball in junior high. He went to Real, got fat and was never the same.

blue660r01 04-13-2010 09:53 PM

Ever since he went to AC Milan it was downhill. I hope they call up Ronaldinho however. Dunga would be STUPID not to.

Ronaldo was still dirty at Madrid though. Here ya go... You'll see his goal vs Atletico Madrid @ 7:45 in

Red370 04-13-2010 09:53 PM

hell I even remember watching him play for PSV, I think thats when he really began to make a name for himself. He used to be THE Ronaldo.

I know, im pumped, probably see him come on as a sub after 75, AW says he still has fitness issues, but im sure he'll be ok for 15, hopefully hes not throwing him back into the fray too soon.

Wanna bet $50 on it? If the loser doesnt pay he gets a month ban.

If you agree we are entering an online contract which will be held.

Before this is solidifield...what do you mean by not a chance? Do you say Arsenal will win it? Or what?

phelan 04-14-2010 12:44 AM

i woulnd't go so far to say arsenal has it in the bag, but they're really the last ones left to challenge chelski for the title

blue660r01 04-14-2010 12:49 AM

6 pts back is basically over as of this point unless Chelsea suffers a major meltdown

Red370 04-14-2010 12:52 AM

with a win tomorrow, we'll only be 3 points back with 4 games remaining, its anyones league to win.

blue660r01 04-14-2010 12:54 AM

So here is the bet. If Chelsa wins the league....you pay me $50. If Arsenal wins the league..I pay you $50.

If neither win. The bet is dead. Deal?

Payment will be determined at the final week of the league.

Red370 04-14-2010 12:55 AM

definitely not:tup:
