Actually, there is one more option - Mike C (ZYCOPTH) has the FI 18" Res CBE + Berk HFC's (non-res of course). His sounds way louder than mine.

Mine is great sounding inside the cabin at highway speeds. No Drone, but sounds like a big cat purring nice and deep. Cold Starts, I rumble the house and wake my GF at the back of the house even with the Resonators on both HFC's and CBE (18" Res no less!). When warm, downshifting and punching the accelerator produces a low rumbly growl that sounds like a Ferrarri, especially when I hit 5K RPM's. I've had cars roll the window down to listen as they drive alongside, plus lots of compliments on the sound from guys following me on cruises and stuff. I cannot be happier with the system. No tune though, don't want to mess with my warranty, but I have not felt that I needed one. The car is extremely quick with immediate throttle response. One more thing, I am running the K&N Typhoon CAI's, which adds to the sounds and the performance. I think my setup is "PURR"fect for me...

ps: with all that said, if I am in 6th gear and start an uphill climb, then as the engine becomes loaded, I start noticing droning. Once the drone becomes too much, I downshift, easing the load on the engine, and the drone goes away...

Felix370z 08-30-2012 01:36 AM

Hope everyone is staying safe back on land. Its been one hell of a ride out here on the rig lol.

w0rM 08-30-2012 01:38 AM

Wow! You rode it out on the rig? That doesn't sound too fun.

It hasn't been too bad back here in Baton Rouge.

KaienZ34 08-30-2012 06:11 AM

Still alive down here in Houma. Without power since Tuesday night, but got the gen running the fridge, window ac unit, tv and ps3.

AreJay 08-30-2012 12:02 PM

I'm in norco without power, but didn't have any flooding or damage.

Good to hear... you guys took a pretty good hit from what I could tell. Glad you're ok.

I really lucked out. I didn't even lose power for this one. Hope you guys get your power back soon!

Punk86 08-30-2012 11:13 PM

I was in Nashville over the weekend visiting family and decided to just wait it out up there for the storm and I just got back! Glad to see everyone is doing good so far.

Actually it was a little fun in a crazy kind of way lol. Yeah me and 40 other people who are considered essential personnel had to stay on the rig as we ran from the storm. Glad to hear everyone is doing well. My Z is parked at a heliport in Houma, hope its ok. We got word today that the heliport didn't flood so that was good news. Im more anxious to see how the $300 Nissan car cover held up against hurricane force winds lol.

TypeOne 08-31-2012 08:41 AM

I didn't lose power either... I washed my Z Monday afternoon and put it in the garage. Pulled it out this morning and it's still squeaky clean!

Glad none of you guys had serious damage, although I know some weren't very fortunate.

PaulZ370 08-31-2012 07:25 PM

Just got Internet connection back. Didn't lose power or incur any damages. Water was up halfway on the lawn, but receded quickly afterwards. Reversed the Z up on the Rino Ramps in the Garage to give it some clearance, but thank goodness all the preparations were not required. Glad everyone else is ok too...

w0rM 08-31-2012 09:14 PM

Any word on if Cars and Coffee is still happening in BR?

According to the facebook group, it is. Hoping it doesn't get rained out.

Car Club being Organized in Louisiana

So, is no one interested in a Car Club for our area? I know with the Hurricane this was not exactly a priority on anyone's mind, however, now that we are back to near normalcy, here is the link in case you didn't spot it, or forgot about it...

There weren't... GTR, Ferrari and an R8 were about it.

TypeOne 09-05-2012 03:28 PM

The new Orleans Cars and Coffee are awesome. I went last year and there were tons of Ferraris, Aston Martins, Ford GT's... tons of really cool cars.

BR ones are lacking a bit. :-/

w0rM 09-05-2012 07:08 PM

I think partly it's bad timing. Four days after a hurricane and Labor Day weekend... not exactly an ideal date.

nismofreak 09-05-2012 07:47 PM

Meet is growing...

Hey Paul, as the meet gets closer let's get a car count and work on securing a section for parking. Should be easy to cordon off a section. I got crime scene tape...some slightly used!

TypeOne 09-10-2012 04:16 PM

I would go but I'll be in Japan! :-/

Oh well, if we are having any meets in October, I'll certainly come and hang out. New wheels and all should be in by then anyway!
