I'm trying to get a friend's 300ZX TT from him. The trubo's need to be changed but other than that it's in great shape.

Damn... that would be SWEET! I still love the look of those cars. My girlfriend had one back in the day. She was hot but her car was hotter. lol

KaienZ34 07-18-2012 07:55 PM

Hahahaha, that's funny. I would just replace the turbo's with some rebuilt stock style ones from z1 or something. I'm just looking for a nice DD car nothing crazy so i'm hoping it won't cost a ton to get it back up to par.

w0rM 07-18-2012 08:01 PM

It shouldn't be too bad. Should be a fun project if you've got the time.

Yeah i came close to having to sell the car, but sold off all the parts and got to keep it. I have a pile of parts i still need to get installed, FI catback, swift springs, SPL rear camber/toe kit, CF lip and CF slip on wing, wheels. A few other things still on the way like carbon signal CF fenders and CF rear diffuser.

If you decide you want to sell the swifts, Im in the market.

TypeOne 07-19-2012 09:57 AM

I don't see how you can sit on all those parts Kaien... I put my stuff on like the day it comes in. The only thing I've ever had to wait on is my wheels which won't be in until October.

:-/

KaienZ34 07-19-2012 10:35 AM

Yeah it does take a while for custom wheels to come in.

KaienZ34 07-19-2012 10:42 AM

It i had the tools i'd be able to get most of it done myself.

Z IT GO's FI exhaust system is due in by 2nd week of September - set up just like mine - Resonated High Flow Cats and 18" Resonated CBE with those gorgeous mirror finished cans and 4.5" finished, and resonated, tips...!:yum:

My next upgrade - SS brake lines...

KaienZ34 07-19-2012 11:15 AM

I went with the FI catback with 12" resonators. I'd like to trade the 12" res. mid section for a non-res mid section.

I'd probably make that trade with you. I should have my non-resonated version next week. Let me know if you're interested.

That would be cool, mine are used (6K miles or so) but in great shape and just sitting in my room.

Francis - BIG CAUTION on the 300ZXTT: It is big bucks to fix the turbos, I know - I had one and did two turbo jobs on it to the tune of $6K Total with stock rebuilt turbos... Mechanics hated to work on it, and it was difficult to even find one who wanted to... This is why I made the painful decision to sell my baby in '05, and that is why I SO appreciate the 370 being naturally aspirated. I do not think I'll ever want to be in a Turbo vehicle again, as much fun to drive and feel that huge kick (when the turbos engage... it was like launching out in the Space Shuttle, when we had one...) But, the piggy bank was taking a big hit, and she had to go :ugh: It can be a DD, but at some point, you're gonna need a big piggy bank when the time comes. :wtf2:

You can see pictures of my 300ZXTT in my picture albums... :ugh2:

That works... mine is used too. It's got about 1000 miles on it. I'd be willing to do a straight swap if you are.

How much for local pickup? :)

KaienZ34 07-23-2012 06:41 PM

Anyone know a good place to get the Z wrapped and a ballpark price??

w0rM 07-23-2012 07:53 PM

Wrapture does some pretty cool stuff. That's a pretty long drive for you obviously but their work looks really good.

KaienZ34 07-23-2012 08:08 PM

That's cool, there is only one place in town that does it and they know they are the only ones. They want 4 to 5k to do my car one color, just the outside (no door jams etc) and no graphics. I have no idea how they stay in business, and they won't even try to do the clear bra. I wanted to have my CF front lip wrapped in clear before i put it on to protect a bit for whenever i sell it and get something else.
