I'm looking forward to world of wheels! I've been going to that show since I was a little boy, so it would be really really cool to put the Z in there!

Windex, when is registration for that?

windex 10-20-2011 02:36 PM

Deadline is Jan 7th. Looks like a domestic based show though.

Punk86 10-20-2011 02:44 PM

While it is a domestic based show, I do remember there being some imports in there last time.

Congratz koffeeguy! I know you've been anxiously waiting.

windex 10-20-2011 02:53 PM

I wonder if we will ever get invited back to a Z/G meet since we think we're too good to hang out with them.

windex 10-20-2011 02:55 PM

As is, I've been blocked for the louisiana z/g group on facebook. So I'm know i'm on the sh*t list :stirthepot:

( Click to show/hide )
Oh yea I did dat :roflpuke2:

windex 10-20-2011 02:57 PM

TypeOne 10-20-2011 04:18 PM

Stop post whoring brad! ;-P

It is a custom rod show, but they have sections for imports and exotics.

I'm going to do it! Even if I'm the only Nissan in there!!

As far as I know Brad, there isn't another meet... not that I know of.

If the pics is too big 500x100 is the limit i think or file size too big the site auto corrects it.

Alright Dude! That is awesome... :happydance:
I know the wait would be killing me if I were you. It took a month for my car, so I know the agony!

Keep us posted, and oh - word to the wise... tell the dealership NOT to place any of their badges on the car... I had a hell of a time with mine after they gouged my paint taking off the receiving dealer's tag and trying to put theirs on... :icon14:

KaienZ34 10-20-2011 07:26 PM

World of wheels is so boring, it's a waste of money.

Can't be THAT boring - they must have pretty models (I mean girls!!) hanging all over the place in skimpy little outfits - don't they?

I've been a couple of times, and there was quite a bit to look at...

To each their own, i've been going since 1990 on and off and it's all old hat to me. I hate seeing b1tch azz hot girls that would never talk to me in real life, just me.

KaienZ34 10-20-2011 10:01 PM

I won't be running mine (damn rim) but this looks cool.

Oct 30 - Drift Bash @ NPR
Anyone thinking about it? It's a sunday and the day before is some more road course racing.

Already did that when I ordered the car, but I will remind them again. I also told them not to wash it either. I figured I should raise it right from the start.

Interesting...

side note... I'm going to have to reduce the driving or something. I'm about done with my rear tires and they only have 6k miles on them. Inside belts are showing. :-( Either they really suck, or my alignment is worse than I thought.

KaienZ34 10-24-2011 02:41 PM

Can't change a man's mind once it's made up.

Umm...

370Zs are nicer, look better, build better, faster, lighter, wider, lower, have more cargo room and... um... are better.

There are like 4 370's in Baton Rouge for sale right now.

KaienZ34 10-24-2011 05:14 PM

That sounds about right to me.

RedmanNISMO 10-24-2011 06:18 PM

Hey guys I just wanted to drop in and say hii. It has been a bit since I have talked to ya'll, hope everyone is doing well. I am just on the DD hunt now myself since I hate the thought of putting tons of miles on this car. Any Z G2G in the works before it gets too cold on us??

Dude...! I was thinking about you this afternoon, not having heard much from you lately. I was gonna post a "Hey anyone heard from..." post here till I logged on. Good to hear your still there! LOL...

I think I may have your DD... I have a bead on a 300ZXTT with all kindsa additional equipment that a friend of mine is selling.... A DD with style and speed, and you can garage your NISMO but not give up the fun... If you are interested, I'll PM you with his number and y'all can chat about it. He just bought a 40th Anniversary 370Z, and his wife just went from a 350Z to a Benz SLK Convertible.... just sold her 350 - that was an auto tranny anyways... Not that I am brokering for him LOL!!! Just thought I'd mention it.

KaienZ34 10-24-2011 09:11 PM

One day i'd love to get a 300TT manual NON 2+2.

The 300TT 2+2 was marketed in Europe, but not the US I believe. All 300TT's in the US are just two seaters unless someone imported one (which I have seen, so I know they exist, but only as a "Mutant" so to speak). Now they did have the 300ZX 2+2, Naturally Aspirated Engine marketed in the US...

KaienZ34 10-24-2011 10:59 PM

When I get one it will have to be the two seater TT.

Right, the 2 seat was the only turbo version available. No 2+2s we sold in the US with the factory TT setup. I have seen a few 2+2 turbo conversions though.

When I was younger, my dad had a 97 SS Camaro and my uncle (his twin brother) had a 96 300ZX NA 2+2. I always loved the way my dads Camaro went, yet, the 300ZX always held the exotic appeal. I always thought as a kid that it was some sort of special car that no one else had, which made it even more intriguing.

My fist car was almost a 300ZX TT but I opted to get a Mustang GT instead. That was a mistake. :shakes head:
