Help with RJM Clutch Pedal Install

I took everyone's advice and purchased the RJM Performance AFP adjustable clutch pedal. I've never seen such unanimous and unwavering praise for a product. Also, the customer service is top-notch.

Anyway, I would like to have this installed by a mechanic. I have gotten a few quotes from two prominent Z tuning shops in SoCal for 2.5 to 3.5 hours of labor. Each shop told me that they have done one or two of these installs before, but not in the last few years.

In his step-by-step instructions, Ryan (RJM himself) lists a labor estimate of 1.5 hours (including fine-tuning the clutch after the install is done) for this job, and he specifically wrote me an email detailing how he does these himself in 45 minutes and doesn't understand why it would take a professional mechanic more than 2 hours. Now I understand there is a learning curve involved, but is 2.5 to 3.5 hours of labor reasonable?

So does anybody have any recommendations for a good shop or even an individual in or near L.A. that has experience installing this part and does quality work?

I appreciate any advice you can offer.

Thanks, everyone.

I did mine in about 2 hours. Took things slow and just followed the directions. Most satisfying mod I've done so far. What i would recommend is really look the directions over a few times before you start. Be familiar with them. Then after its all done make sure everything is tight. Don't leave any loose bolts or nuts.

Check with Seb at specialty Z. Most honest and trustworthy shop I have found while modding my Z and I have been screwed by a few shops prior to find my "Z shop" . He re-installed my whole TT kit after GTM couldn't finish it right.

Thanks for confirming my belief about Seb. I did speak with him, and I found him to be very straightforward and knowledgeable, so much so that I ordered a Fast Intentions exhaust from him, which he will be installing.

As for the RJM pedal, I chose a local mechanic (one mile away) to do it and am glad I did, based on the fact that I have gone back about five times for minor adjustments (dialing in the AFP and realigning the clutch rod, eliminating side-to-side free play in pedal, and leveling pedal with brake). I was originally planning on having Seb do it, but he is 30 miles away from me.
