Where/Who installed your Exhaust/HFC?

Hi everyone,

Where I live has no place to do installation, so I would often bring my car to a buddies or a shop for simple installation.

I want to get my HFC installed, but I'm not sure where to go.

I've tried a few muffler shops, but the prices are too high.

Anyone have any suggestion where i could get my HFC installed in the OC area?

or

If you could install it for me, I'm willing to pay you CASH $$$

Let me know thanks

I seriously doubt any shop is going to publicly put the fact on the internet that they'll remove a working cat. That's illegal, even if you put a hfc in place. You might be better off PMing locals with HFCs listed in their sig.

not asking for shops to display their name and their "illegal" offerings. I'm asking local members for their suggestions as to which shops, and if/or has a garage to work in. Two different things.

You're asking people to publicly out shops who are doing something technically illegal under Federal law. Ask people to pm the name of the shop to you instead.

If you want to bring it to Torrance, The Toy Shop will install your exhaust. Ask for Eric, and tell him Andrew blue 370 sent you

How much are they charging you? I paid $200 but it was a deal After he said he would need to charge $600 to do it for someone

Corner 3 Garage in Laguna Hills does all of my installs. Try giving them a call. 949.380.0801

Ask for Nima and tell him Derek with the gray 370z referred you!

I called them. They wanted to charge around $180. I thinks that's a bit pricey. I was hoping to find a shop that charges no more than $120.

... If it's for the HFCs and CBE, that's good, if not cheap.

Have you ever done this job?
Its not easy.Plus, you need the right tools.
Getting the install done for under 200 bucks is a good deal.

That's not a bad price if it includes HFC. Do a quick search for "demon bolt" and you'll find out why.

If you want to go cheap, you can try El Pedorrero Muffler Shop in Whittier.

Warning: You get what you pay for.

Lol, it also ain't a Ferrari, I took mine to... Los Pacos Burrito Los Muffler Shop when I was in Dallas, guy did great work, charged me $80 too. His lift was nice and sideways too, and if I came too early, the dogs would bark... And the roosters were annoying too...

axmea? 02-13-2014 03:58 AM

Critical will do it for $150. He'll do it right. Otherwise, you know where he lives.

The $180 price was HFC alone. I have gotten my exhaust installed before at many places for around $80-$100. But this time around those shop didn't want to touch my HFC lol. I did find a shop that is willing to do the HFC install for $120.

Step 1: find shop that is within the budget.
Step 2: ask said shop if they have experience with the Z
Step 3: read up on demon bolt.

That is a great deal.

It's hard to find a shop with a reasonable price. Even then, many shops aren't willing to touch the stock cats.

If anyone knows a shop that does it cheaper than $120, please let me know. I'm not in a rush to install the HFC.

Fast Intention is installing my CBE, so I only need the HFC installed.

critical 02-14-2014 04:20 AM

any shop that knows what they're doing will charge you 200+. it's not easy. you need to use hand tools, not impacts or you'll shatter the bolts.
