Fontana trip

A good friend and I are Heading to Cali in April. We have 3 days to kill before our scheduled event at Fontana and one day after. So many places to see. Help a brother out! What should the things-to-do list look like?

How far are you willing to drive and what types of things do you want to do?

cptspeed 01-26-2014 08:57 PM

probably 2 or so hours drive. We are more interested in sightseeing, but are open to anything adventurous.

Quite the drive. I work near Fontana. Can you bring me some tbt* magazines? :-)

Check out Hollywood? The touristy stuff there like Mann Chinese Theater. See the pacfic ocean? I'm not sure what else... When you grow up in Southern CA you forget what's cool, lol

2 hours can pretty much get you anywhere. You can go over to Malibu, drive Mulholland Dr. While you are out there you can swing by the Getty Villa or Center if you care for that kind of thing. Otherwise, there's also Santa Monica. You can hang out there, go to the pier, check out some shops and restaurants. If you like beaches, there's Corona Del Mar and Balboa Island in Orange County.

If you like nature you can drive over to Red Rock Canyon State Park. Or you could stay closer and go to Angeles Crest and drive some twisties. There's also Big Bear Lake.

If you want to check out some old cars, there's the Nethercutt Museum. Out in Chino is Planes of Fame if you like planes. You could go to Griffith Park where the Observatory is, Hollywood Bowl, and some other stuff.

Thanks for all the responses. When I was around 12, I lived near Lake arrowhead. Wish I would have been a little older. I will not have the Z with me, but was thinking of renting something nice for a day or so. Wonder how much the spider that Beiber was in would cost. lol.

If you're around on April 5th you can come to our meet in Cerritos (about an hour from Fontana)

Visit wineries and do tastings if you're into it. Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara, Temecula, and the best outside of Napa Valley is Paso Robles.

Drive to Vegas perhaps. Not too far from Fontana. Beverly Hills if you're into that stuff.

Your in Florida so is stay away from the water.
