Then going down the east grade or fast side of the mountain to Santa Ysabel through to Ramona, lakeside to La Mesa.

We can discuss at the top of Palomar if the group wants to stop for apple pie in Santa Y or head straight to my place for eats and drinks.

I was thinking that we make it back between 11-12 in time for lunch. I'm easy though if you guys want to stop for photo/ video ops of the cars or whatever.

Thats cool. Just wondering since I am going to go see Fast and Furious saturday night and wanted to make sure I am home in time haha.

No I am going with some friends to a regular theater

Z_Girl 05-20-2013 05:55 PM

Just a quick reminder for everyone to write down the addresses of all meeting places in case you get separated for any reason. :driving:

Fred and I will be taking care of the people meeting in Fountain Valley, one of us will lead and the other will be in the back to make sure everyone sticks together and the back of the group has a car to follow if we get separated along the way.

See everyone on Saturday!

Anyone heading to Fountain Valley from the west side? Santa Monica, West LA, etc.? Or further north padding through? If so hit me up.

Realale 05-21-2013 11:28 PM

Sad that I can't make this. Dam Stillen taking forever with my car. Have fun. And if anybody wants to be nice and get me a copy of a rendering (if Randy has them) I'll buy you lunch.

Anyone from the Valley? My plan is to go straight to Escondido by 8:00 AM. If none, I'll be joining the OC group at FV.

That would be awesome Randy. I'm upset that I can't go hang out. Maybe Fred or Sumerly can grab me one and I can come pick it up. Thanks.

Yes. And they said it was a 12 hour job, but a week later no car. I know they were busy with a lot of cars, but I want by baby back already.

Apoc370z 05-22-2013 12:37 PM

What time were you thinking of meeting? Think Jeff would want to ride shot gun with me?

Cheers,

To everyone that are meeting in Fountain Valley!

Please have decent amount of fuel before meeting the group in Fountain Valley. From Fountain Valley it will be a straight drive to the second stop in Chevron 215 East Via Rancho Parkway Escondido, Ca.

This is my number 714 33564onenine incase you aren't able to make it on time or just a few minutes late to that Fountain Valley meet.

*And don't forget to charge your gopro's and make room for memory cards.*

Yes everyone drive carefully and golden rule when I ride in the twistes is to never cross the centerline (in corners). Bikes like to overtake as well so look out for that. Come to think of it in 10 years of going up there I've actually never been up through mt Palomar in a car only motorcycles.

This....i hate when i see people in bikes or cars do that...went on a cruise once with some people from a cobalt SS group and the lead car just to say he got down the mountain first crossed over a double yellow around a blind corner and passed a work truck, i was just praying that another car was not coming around that corner at the same time he decided to pull this dumb stunt. All this just to stay ahead of my Z and this was on Palomar also.

fredstah 05-24-2013 12:12 AM

Because of this big group, we will have a group drive etiquette meeting. I too ride these canyons on my bikes and we will have few passers on sport bikes as the group gets to Palomar.

Bear valley then i think backroads by lake wohlford

fxroar 05-25-2013 12:09 AM

I drive these roads all the time. I advise those that are new to the course to take it easy. Please check your brake pads, fluids and tires/tire pressure before going. Like others had mentioned please be courteous to others and avoid crossing double yellow lines ESPECIALLY around blind corners.

For MT Zs there's a possibility your clutch will stick before you get to the top. Ill talk to you guys more about this tomorrow.

With that said ill have to wake up early in the morning to swap rims. Can't imagine how many dogs I will kick if I mess up the ISS forged. I will be meeting up with Charles and a few others @ Chevron Mercy Rd.

Everyone please be safe and get plenty of rest. Ill see you all tomorrow morning.
