4.08 Diff

Hey guys I wanted to post this here in the SoCal section to see who are done the 4.08 diff upgrade and where did you get the work done? I have spoken to a few people and they all tell me this is one of the best mods for a NA 370z. I'm almost 100% sure this is going to be my next mod. I just want to see how much it will cost me. And one more question I did some research and people who have the SRM 6MTs say most of theirs works. Some say it is off by 300RPMs and it is not noticeable with the stock clutch. Just wanted to see what you guys thought of this if anyone else is thinking of doing this or has done it already please chip in.

Thank you

The 4.08 diff upgrade has been on the for sale section from a couple different people (keep your eye out)

This is a good mod if you are looking to get more out of your gears. I think people were selling them for about $400-500 used.

I know that people that install them love the added RPMS and HP gains. (+15whp?)
Not sure how much gains, youd have to search

Just to clarify.. this does NOT add whp but def helps with quicker acceleration.

Be prepared to lose some MPG and yes.. according to 370zs with 4.08 gearing the SRM will be off 200-300 RPMs. I don't know about your driving style but to me 300 RPM is noticeable and will definitely be an annoyance. Whichever way you decide to go.. best of luck. I can guarantee you that any nissan dealership will be able to do the install since the gear is basically off of a nissan fronteir. Hit up Scott@relentless. He does good work and been on the VQ scene for a very long time. Actually.. based on your info (818) you're better off with CornerGarage or Amplified Motorsport. Scott is all the way down South San Diego area.
