Who are those unmarked crown vics?

I'll admit, I did have a little fun going from 2nd to the top of 3rd gear before I noticed that the car in front of me was an unmarked police vehicle. So around... 20-75ish MPH on the 101 on-ramp. The guy went behind me and flashed the blue/red lights (along with siren), in which I accordingly pulled to the right, getting ready to accept my fate :eekdance:. But no, he turned into the far left lane and sped off.

Drove the rest of the way home on speed limit like a law abiding citizen.

Unmarked's don't give tickets, they just arrest you if you're bad. So I just try to behave like a good citizen like you said.

We went for a canyon run up Mulholland today and saw a white one on the hairpin corner where they take the pics of all the cars. We stopped for a photo op, and he drove by a couple times. Looked like a young kid driving (probably a wanna be cop). This was around noon time. Same one perhaps?????

Most of them are either detectives out pursuing a case or umakred sherriffs. I know because my neighbor is one. One tattle tale that they arne't a actual police cruiser= registration sticker. If I see one I keep on keepin on, IF i don't....its back to law abiding citizen status.

I ve had a similar scenario happen, but i was hauling ***, cop came up behind me said hey, an bounced. oh and this was chp....

the unmarked cars hear are getting pretty good but remember to look for ca exempt on the plates, it will be on all cars marked or not.

I was in my 08 stang couple years back and that happened to my by border patrol at 1am. That late at night all crown vics look the same. I sh*t my pants three times between Rancho Pensaquitos and Avocado Hwy lol.:roflpuke2:

:iagree:

Most of the time it's a higher ranking officer who won't go after you for traffic infractions

Word to the wise OP, you don't want to accelerate like that when you enter freeways, you will be way more likely to get pulled over for accelerating like that than you will if you accelerated while already in traffic

I got pulled over by an unmarked in Vegas and he said that he was sure my wife would want me home alive and to slow down. That was the extent of it. I slowed down and went along on my way home. Lesson learned.

You know for the most part I agree about the exempt plates BUT one time a grand marquis with tinted windows and full interior siren pkg rolled up on me with a uniformed Sheriff inside. And get this, the plates had registration stickers on it!?

In a diff part of LA, same story but with a blk Crown Vic. I think he was a Marshall or Sheriff too
