Ok, here is some info on the Drag Strip. Looks like Fontana Raceway host street legal drags. Here is there 2009 schedule:
Gates open at 6:00 a.m. Race your own car for only $20 Watch your friends race for only $10 2009 Street Legal Drag Racing Schedule May 2 May 9 May 30 (how about this date??) June 27 July 18 Aug. 1 Oct. 31 Dec. 5 The only thing I cant find out is if they give you a time slip, I wouldn't make any sense if they didn't, but I still need to confirm. here are the rules: Auto Club Dragway Street Legal Rules - Auto Club Speedway |
Quote:
DANGIT 10-Second Rule There is a 10-second flat ET rule. No cars quicker than 10 seconds will be allowed. (If you need an NHRA Competition License to drive your car at an NHRA Drag Strip, it is too quick for Auto Club Dragway during a Street Legal event.) lol ahhh we need a helmet Helmet Required in all vehicles faster than 13.99 seconds. Helmet must meet SNELL 95 or better standards (must have label inside of helmet). NOTE: In January 2007 the requirement will be SNELL 2000 or better. |

would our stock exhaust be to loud for the track? because it sounds beastly when i floor it. |
i saw that rule too
i mean 100db is preety loud upclose so if its at 100 ft away and your still at 100db then your car must be REALLY loud!! but we'll see ill take it there anyways |

Wish I could've made this meet. Looking forward to seeing SoCal's clear bra and hearing MiniCobra's exhaust system. Hopefully I'll have my Z in by the next meet.

wow, great turnout! Love the pics. Who owns the silver Z?
Even though I live 3000+ miles away, I virtually made it! :icon17: http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...on-5-Front.jpg (BTW, did I get the screenames right? I was just trying to figure out who drives what) |

Nice pics. I'll try to make the next one.
Fontana is good for 1/4 mile, but you have to get up really early, wait in the sun and only get a few runs. Irwindale is only an 1/8 mile track, but you can get plenty of runs in. LACR had crappy conditions, but you could also get a ton of runs in....of course they are now closed. Not familiar with pomona raceway. |
