:iagree:

OP, This is more like a rant. You need to explain with details so others will not go to the dealership, rather than vent to us people who have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. I personally have bought 2 cars from here
(1 used about 2 weeks ago) so I am curious as to what problem you could possibly have since they treated me well.

metz 11-09-2010 09:19 PM

yeah explain please

Waiz 11-09-2010 09:30 PM

I know a few people who have had problems with the service advisors but Scott helped them out and got it taken care of.

Fontana Nissan has been very generous to the community so it's worth explaining or trying to resolve rather than creating this thread.

Boba 11-09-2010 11:18 PM

Who did you speak to? Did you talk to Frank at the service department?

I might suggest to speak to Scott, If there is anyone who can help it would be him. I might also suggest to not say anything anymore till you have dealt with Scott Personally. I've been there and Met Scott, Danny, and Frank all are great guys, and I have nothing negative to say. Sorry for your situation but I'm pretty sure they will get it right. Remind them you're a board member on here, and Good Luck

ThoriumHotdog 11-10-2010 12:03 AM

So theres a problem with an aftermarket nav system and the headlights go on and off?

I don't think they are required to warranty an aftermarket navigation systems or even the headlights. If they were stock and there were problems then certainly they would. I'm sure you can buy stock replacements for the lights but you shouldn't expect them to swap them out for free.

Sorry, I may have misunderstood what you said. :(

Allright dude so here goes, Sorry to hear your going through this but I really hope you covered yourself and got something in writting with reguards to the aftermarket equipment being warranted by nissan,or in this case, fontana nissan. If not, you should speak with Scott as mentioned in prior posts as those aftermarket items more than likely flowed through that parts department. You have to see it from the dealers side too, they seem like theyre trying to help out based on what you posted, but your average service writter does NOT deal with aftermarket items on a new car. Now couple the fact that youve gone through 2? 3? different "advisors", and you have the situation you're in now. FYI, sales people are aren't going to be much help as they are generally in... SALES. Hope you get those issues ironed out as I went through something similar to this with my previous car and I know this can really sour any new/used car purchase.

i have full warranty on the parts im not that dumb to buy a car as is :) thnx for your advise i just honestly hate the fact on how they handle things there :(

xdeslitx 11-10-2010 01:27 AM

I can personally vouch for fontana nissan. Gus, Scott, Chris, Frank and Dom have been nothing but helpful.
I actually had an issue today, I don't think I should go into detail but let's just say that it had something to do with water and aftermarket parts and they worked it out for me.

THANKS AGAIN GUYS.

^^ :iagree:
From your post, it sounded like you were speaking to the sales people instead of the service guys. Try speaking to Gus in Service or Scott in parts.

phelan 11-10-2010 01:38 AM

Frank has been nothing but top notch in helping me out with my car, and Jerome has also been very responsive. I've nothing but good things to say about Fontana Nissan. Hope you get it worked out with them. Please make sure you talk to at least Scott or Frank before you start throwing things out there though. And to be fair, you are acknowledging you have aftermarket parts, parts a typical Nissan warranty would not cover (LEDs in your headlights, aftermarket navi, etc.) which puts most dealerships in a bind already. Fontana is already trying to help you out, which is a plus in my book.

Not a derail...but who's Jerome? I've been there so many times but I never met a Jerome.

phelan 11-10-2010 01:42 AM

Jerome Porter?

I dunno, the past two times I took the car for service, I spoke with Frank and Jerome.
