We can all pitch in, and loan you our spares ;)

Hey Marco, How's it going Br0?
If you're not too bad on tires come on down? the run's a toned down version of Vics runs. It gives everyone a chance to push it a little without getting hurt.

christian370z 10-16-2010 01:33 AM

Hopefully since it looks like a smaller group this time and we are going to hit the road earlier, we might get to make it a bit more enthusiastic... I hope at least, especially now that I finally have an oil cooler!

2 weeks afer our last run with vic i noticed the car felt like it wanted to get "loose" evrytime i shift so i checked the tires and notice the inside/middle part the thread is just gone(some uneven wear due to neg camber)
so since then i havent driven the car hard nor done any canyon runs

i want better tires than stock and they are a bit expensive
im on the market for cheaper ones if anybody has hookups(i should ask Lou lol)

but right now im in danger for being layed-off due to the state budget cuts....stupid arnold >:( so i dont know what my future cash flow looks like

for now im holding back

but i do check the forums once in a while to see what you guys are up to
until my situations settles just keep me posted :D

I will add you to the attendance in the OP.

hubbleTD19 10-17-2010 03:56 AM

I won't be able to make the 23rd, but I'll try to make it to the next run. I'll check back and see how it goes and when the next run is.

christian370z 10-18-2010 01:46 PM

Sounds good hubble, it would be nice if you are able to come one of these times! Anyone else interested? Canyon run this saturday morning.

xdeslitx 10-18-2010 02:44 PM

Nice, it looks like the weather is going to clear up just in time.

christian370z 10-18-2010 06:05 PM

I hope so, the weather this weekend was pretty crappy. The silver lining is that cooler ambient temperatures will help the oil cooler-less!

zero 10-18-2010 08:52 PM

Hope the weather will be good. I just got sways installed and will have to see how they do on the twists and turns. My wife, Jen will be coming along with her 350Z.

Trips 10-18-2010 08:53 PM

Sounds great Paul. :)

so after we meet up at 7 and do our runs, when is our expected time to all go home?

tradervic 10-20-2010 07:49 AM

I'm in. And it's my birthday. And I can fly if I want to.

Last time, we were out on the road roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes including all the cool down stops and my embarrassing gaffes. I see it being an hour and a half if we are going at a good clip and stop for a few cool downs.

Nice Vic! Glad to see you can make it, hope it is not too much of a relaxing drive compared to your normal pace. :)

klubbheads 10-20-2010 11:54 AM

Weather looks promising with low 60s for the morning time with no rain...

Hi, guys and gals.

Dont mean to poop on your drive but this is what happened last weekend

YouTube - Car Crashes into Three Motorcycles

luckily no one was riding or standing there , but one bike was written off and other 2 were minor damaged.

The thing is your going to be planning a drive in an area that has a lot of the residence complaing to the CHP and the local LA County Sheriffs, so that is what you will be dealing with and the high chance of a "yellow time slips" from those LEO's. Btw , it will be dry on this upcoming weekend but a lot forget there are always loose rocks ready to come down at any time and the significant rains do that.

christian370z 10-20-2010 02:04 PM

The Mulholland stretch is not the place we would go fast on, it is just a way to get to the more technical areas on the north side of Kanan. Thanks for the heads up though, always sad to see a couple morons ruin a good thing for everyone.

phelan 10-20-2010 02:24 PM

amusingly, on that gto website, instead of **** they filter using 'smurf'. that's brilliant. AK should do that here too.

with that said, i'm still suspicious of the rain. i'm out until i see some sunlight.

i might have to agree with you on this one Andrew.

sensi09 10-20-2010 04:24 PM

I like that stretch of road early in the morning, but usually avoid it due to popo.

christian370z 10-20-2010 07:01 PM

There is a 10% chance of rain, it is hopefully very unlikely to rain. It is funny how the two Amuse guys don't want to get their cars wet, come on Andrew/Phelan!

lol its not about getting wet its about being smart. I put to much money into my car to something happen on a canyon run when it rains especially after a dry spell:shakes head:

wow, seriously? i'm in the same boat, i'm all for a good time, but it's not about 'oh i can't have water spots on my car', it's about the risk of me slamming an egregious amount of cash into a guard rail due to slippery roads. i'm pretty sure that after all this rainfall, it's still going to be somewhat slick on the weekend.
