That was my mistake, I definitely smurfed up. I didn't expect Glendora Ridge to come up so quickly and we drove right by it and waited for you guys for about 30-45 minutes at a pull off spot a little further down. We were thinking "Where in the heck did Paul and Nelson go? They were right behind us just down the hill!"

I am really sorry about that, I should have had your phone number so we could have figured it out. Did you guys have any frost/ice issues going through Glendora Ridge?

Here are my pictures of the run: I planned on having video but my stupid suction mount broke internally.

Sorry about the issue with my dad, that definitely put us behind schedule to the point where we hit cycling (and suicidal long boarder) traffic. That and the guy in the Miata who crashed right in front of me haha.

Nice run guys.

No problem, Christian. We hit a few icey spots on the road. Also we thought you guys were up to Mt. Baldy area so we took Mt Baldy road all the way to the skiing area....LOL. There was snow on the side of the road going up there. We did have fun....

There was no phone reception there. Next time I'll bring a couple walkie talkie.

xdeslitx 11-27-2010 06:41 PM

Good thing Jamaica took it easier when I was behind him on that final stretch. I started hearing clunking noise when I was on the freeway and remembered that trips had clunking noise because of his sways.
Sure enough, the bushings on my front sways came loose.

Oh jeez, no kidding. You should have gone to the highest mountain you could find and either rev the Z or yell so that we could have followed the sound! Walkie Talkies would be awesome, I am going to snag a couple long range ones for next time I think.

How much video did you end up getting Andrew?

xdeslitx 11-27-2010 07:10 PM

Enough LOL...
I'm uploading to youtube right now...it probably won't be done till a late tonight.
They look a lot better cuz of the camera position this time.

Not good.

It wasn't the same issue as yours though...yours was the bolt right? Mine was the bushings.

Yea, the nut came loose in my case.

ncheung85 11-27-2010 08:42 PM

Xilisoft Video Converter.
You can even use the Windows Movie Maker(I think) but I don't know if it will save as HD.

christian370z 11-27-2010 09:16 PM

I will have to try that program out, I hate how movie maker hacks up the quality of HD videos. I can't wait for the videos Andrew, I am going to subscribe to your channel on YouTube.

By the way, how was I-Hop? haha

ncheung85 11-27-2010 09:48 PM

Window movie maker doesnt work with mp4.

Well I'm using a free program call mp4 cutter, it does work when it works. But it freezes when I skip around the video a lot.

Good thing is that you don't lose any quality.

I-Hop was good...bad service though. Bad servers seem to be a growing trend for the meets lately.

As long as the food was decent, that can make up for a bunch. Are the sway bar bushings just developing a lot of play or does it completely fail?

I think the roadster thought you were driving too slow that's why he didn't join us in the final stretch! :roflpuke2: jkjk

christian370z 11-28-2010 02:55 PM

Those videos are awesome as always Andrew, I am thinking of picking up a dedicated car video camera but can't decide whether I should go for a GoPro, a real HD camcorder, or something like a Kodak Zi10.

I know youtube compresses the crap out of the videos, how much better is the quality on your computer?

I don't think youtube does much compressing.

christian370z 11-28-2010 05:10 PM

I heard a few people mention taking a break over december but I am down for whatever. If there is interest, we can definitely organize one next month, not sure where though.
