it was my fault took a turn waaayyy too fast starting going sideways for a good 10 seconds until i was perpendicular to the street(luckily no cars) went up the curb scratch my passenger sideskirts, ripped both splash guards and Fu@ked up my stillen exhaust both tips are bent

damn marco... sorry to hear...I was almost crying when i hit a cone on the fwy last week and got spider cracks and small bend in the lower fang area...i feel you bro...

Based on what you described, I would say your "frame" is fine, although you probably have a good amount of suspension damage. Lucky for you this is socal and there are a million body shops here to choose from. The only thing I can recommend is to stay away from the sage dealer groups as all they do is kick people over to 3rd party shops which do pretty shoddy work(I learned the hard way). Atlease your alive to post about it!

A few tips

Marco:

These cars have many aluminium parts and will bend way before they break. I had the exact same thing happen to my 05 Steeda Mustang GT. The best chance to have a car that is still true is to call your insurance company and when they give you a list of body shops focus on an arguement of how new the vehicle is and the lack of technical expetise a body shop would have on such a new design. Usually if you complain enough they will have one or two Nissan Dealers that if they feel inclined will be in there system and they will allow you to take it there and they will pay for the damages.

The next step is to contact the person at the dealer who will be in charge of the project. If you get to know him he will substitute the factory parts ( For example the new factory exhaust system for quality aftermarket and put a brand new stillen exhaust on the car). I had modified my Steeda with Custom wheels and exhaust as well as special springs with custom spring rates and since the factory parts were as much or more than aftermarket they ordered the aftermarket parts for me so my car was exactly the same. The dealer is the only one that is going to replace every bent or slightly imperfect part but they will only go the extra mile if you establish a relationship with the person in charge of your project.

Sorry to hear what happened but you will need to execute your plan to perfection to get the car back in like new condition. It can be done if the person uses the when in doubt switch it out method of vehicle repair which is what is needed in such a sophisticated sports car with so many weight saving materiels

Good luck,
Mark

call me, i might be able to point you in the right directions. i have a lot of body shop contacts

tru_Asiatik 05-27-2010 07:52 PM

alright guys thanks for the support

at this point i think im more worried about any frame and suspension
damages i need it to get checked asap

i had stillen check the exhaust and they siad its bent out of shape and would be cheaper to get a replacement(not in my funds right now)
so im thinking of just putting the stock exhaust back on

i know my alignment is off since my steering wheel is slightly to the right when im driving straight as i drive to stillen about an hour in the vdc light and slippage indicator came on
it stayed on until i turned the car off then it disappered when i turned it on again

you think im better off having the dealer check it? as i check the car this morning the only part that hit in the car was preety much the exhaust i dont know why my alignment was thrown off

on another note i notice my AC wasnt blowing cold air :(
dunno how that got affected

hopefully all this would be under warranty
