Timing couldn't be worse. Isn't there supposed to be a drought happening?

Cheech 03-01-2014 10:29 AM

Think I'm going to pass this month Waizzz. With the water on the roads, I don't want to chance hydro planing.

Seen two different types of drivers out there in this weather.
1. Those that don't realize the roads are slick
2. Those that are overly cautious and leave 1/2 city block distance between them and the car in front of them. Which in my mind is just a dangerous, causes a huge line-up behind them, drivers get impatient and pass unsafely.

Be careful out there everyone.

Cheers,
Cheech

Left my house to go to the dealership this morning. Not a drop in sight. As soon as I get on the fwy, sky opens up. Visibility down to like 8 meters or so for the entire drive. As soon as I turn off the fwy the weather clears up again. smh.

I'll still try to make it out without dying.

Plan is still to meet in Cerritos first, if we get chased out by the rain then we can move to another location

Sun is trying to poke out here in Redondo so it might be clearing up!

Z_ealot 03-01-2014 05:01 PM

from what i can see on the weather radar it looks like the rest of the storm should be cleared out mostly by tonight

winnre 03-01-2014 05:21 PM

If the storm clears I may go but I still have snow here on the hill.

Grindkiezer 03-01-2014 07:22 PM

Is it worth making the drive out tonight? The weather here in SD is changing pretty rapidly between light rain and Holy Shît!

BeemaaZ 03-01-2014 07:30 PM

For those who are going just keep the vdc on. Drive safe everyone.

Same here, it's stayed at light drizzle for an hour or two though.
If you drive out ALLLLLLLLLL the way from SD... I will leave work early (which I REALLY DON'T want to do) to meet you because I know I won't make it out to the meets out in your area any time soon... (This statement was made in a no homo way, us MBlue guys have to represent at a meet that is in black and white)

weather radar is showing cerritos is clear of rain and it's just slightly drizzleing here in fullerton so i think for at least most of the night we should be free of rain

I started on my way and while at the gas station about 30-ish minutes ago it started to pour. I checked the traffic on my phone for the drive and it said it would be a 1:45 minute drive so I would have gotten there around 8:00 I figured I might as well just wait until a sunny day comes up. Hopefully I can get work off again

You know... The car is water resistant. Lol

And the freeways won't be too busy! You should be good to go, lol

Well seeing as it starts in 35 minutes I don't think I would make it to see very much of it. And Idk about the freeways, down here they get pretty hectic when it rains
