Well, it was a thin turn out last night. A little disappointing since driving down from Ventura. Nice meeting you Ron (L33TZOR) and thanks for inviting Marcus to the meet. Hopefully he'll join this forum.

You will never see someone rev or burnout or do something stupid. Those who did in the past we made it very obvious that they were not welcome (even if it made me look like the badguy) :icon17: #banhammer

So last night someone decided it was a good idea to invite a whole crew of Non-Z's who I and most of the long time attendee's don't know. I noticed rampant revving upon leaving, parking sideways, blaring of radios and just general asshattery.

Let me reiterate, this is not a meet that we want to actively promote. This is a private meet for members of this forum, my friends, and anyone from the FLG page. We don't want this meet being promoted anywhere else and inviting random Civics, Integra's and Loud-azz EVO's.

We have had a problem in the past with people randomly showing up and not following rules so we don't want anyone that we really don't know just showing up

For the first time in 10 years I saw 4 deputies congregating and the group of OG's who I was hanging out with all thought we were going to get kicked out of the plaza. Luckily they just left us alone but I don't want to take the risk.

AGAIN, DO NOT INVITE RANDOM PEOPLE TO OUR MEET. The next time this happens I will just take our meet private and change the location/day and not allow that anyone I, Genaro, Peter, Malko or Arnel don't know to attend

Other than the mix of randoms I had a nice time with the dozen or so OG's who attended. Some who I haven't seen in years it felt like.

Wow looks like some nice cars showed up. I couldn't attend even though it's been a while. (Had to take some kids, including myself to see Jurassic movie)

Waiz, I would like to put some input on this post, I ran a weekly meet in the past and dealt with similar situations, and even one situation
whereas even having written permission from the actually meet location owner, the local law enforcement came through and demanded we disbursed.
And we just followed the order and went on our merry way, even though nobody was disrespecting anything and the 30 or so members were normal meet attendees.
Im curious, because it sounds like you made an assumption of what actually happened about stating one or more persons of our forum members making a public invite announcement for the extra vehicles that showed. Did that actually happen?
One person mentioned that he found out that all those cars showed up randomly from another meet at best buy.
I feel that you should keep it a z meet but recognize that nobody owns the parking lot except the owner of the parking lot.
If anyone on this forum actually invited somebody without a Nissan/Datsun Z, I would think it was a great thing to come check out our cars. I actually had some random people coming over and complimenting our cars.
I think theres a time for rules to be posted up because this forum has many reading im sure.

I think you need a club with membership and a sponsored location if you want control of who comes through a public parking lot. I had ran a monthly club meet in the past at the Nissan dealership and kept it 32 members only and then
had all the control I wanted.

I had a good time coming out with redfish_z33 Marcus anyhow. The cinco de mayo meet was
just too weak. I hadnt come to these things in years so tried to check them out again.

In the past, I know the deputies have been cool and understand what we're about. They are and have been willing to help weed out some of the less than desirable actors. I think we just have to make them aware of who is who on the lot. I'm sure their mostly concerned with public safety especially with all the donut spinning parking lot asshatteries happening all throughout SoCal.

Its been great all these years with the exception of a few outliers. What I don't want is to get stuck between parking aisles while law enforcement stops each car to pop hoods... Might be enough to force me to bring out the Odyssey instead, and would take away all the fun. :ughdance:

September is our 10-year anniversary and also my birthday but I will be out of town this weekend.

We will move our meet a week to the following Saturday:

Saturday, September 8th from 8:30pm to midnightish


Please note, this is Z-specific meet and we are not looking to invite the general public. We try to keep this low-key as that is how we have made it to 10 years at this one spot.

I don't mind you inviting a few friends but I don't want a repeat of last month in which a whole bunch of random people showed up. I have no problem being the bad guy and asking people to leave LOL

It was a great turn out at the Anniversary Z meet and to catch up with OGs! I got home around 1:30 AM lol

Yay! My account finally got approved!!! It was so awesome meeting everyone and I’m glad I got to finally make it to meet, let alone the anniversary one. Hopefully I’ll be in So Cal soon for a meet or a cruise!
