Sooo.. the primary phone number called me today I picked it up expecting to be him.. but it was someone else.. by the name of Peter.. he told me the guy ripped him off too.. he said he tracked him down to his house and he took off running but he got his cell phone and called me through it after he saw the messages in them. I don't know if its all clear or not but I will be on the phone with him in 30 minutes to see exactly whatsup

This seems odd.

How does a guy who happens to also get ripped off call you through someone else's phone?

DONT TOUCH THE CHECK!!! when you get it make sure you are wearing gloves and get that S*#T finger printed because his print will be all over the check

in other words, he had his friend call you on his phone to further smoke screen this whole thing.

Wouldn't the check have ALL the bank personals finger prints as well?

"If" it was a real cashiers check issued by the bank from funds in his account................ but, since it is no good, it is either a real cashiers check that was stolen and the amount and signatures forged, or, it is a fake cashiers check created probably via computer, and once again filled out and signed, but the entire thing a forgery, check itself as well as info, account number, etc.

Usually they want you to make the report in the city where the crime occured, so you might be calling Irvine PD. I hope you get your money or the douche goes to jail, or both!

I spoke with my friends lawyer today, he told me that what probably happened was he gave me the check, it cleared 2 days later, i gave him the go to pick up clutch, then he canceled/froze the check, so it bounced in my account 2 days later.

I am compiling all the info i can right now of the guy, because the lawyer has a good friend that works with the fed and he will try to track him down for me.. and once he gets his true identity, will put bad credit under his name so if he ever gets a job, or a loan, or anything requiring credit check, he will be denied til he clears my report.
