Custom exhaust shop for tip extension?

Hi everyone. Need some advice on something I'm having a hard time addressing by myself. I recently obtained CarbonSignal's 09 Nismo rear diffuser. If any one has seen this in person he would know that the diffuser extends out of the nismo bumper quite far. I'd say maybe 1.5-2 more inches. Obviously with that kind of extension exhausts built for our vehicles seem extremely tucked under (not sure if its easy to see here):

So here are my two questions:
1) I love the diffuser so I'm considering taking this to a custom exhaust shop to get my tips extended outwards maybe 1.5 to 2 inches to match up. I'm thinking there will be a performance loss, but not by much. Plus, I went with the Ark exhaust for the looks and a decent but moderate tone. So losing out on performance isn't a big issue. Is this a bad idea?

2) Any recommendations for which shops to go to in SOCAL?

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't extend my tips on my exhaust at all. You did go with ARK so its not like you got your exhaust for performance but if you got it for the sound you will screw with the sound of the exhaust too.
My friend has the same diffuser on his Nismo with the same body style year. It does extend slightly but that is the way any diffuser should be.

A diffuser really isn't for show, its more for aerodynamic purpose and downforce. Carbon Signals is the closest underside and finned diffuser that can be "for looks"
Any other diffuser upward from that point, APR CRZY, etc. is huge and ment to stick your cars *** to the ground in turns.

IF ANYTHING, I would call ARK and see if they are able to make a custom pair of axleback's for the exhaust you have that are a bit longer if the length it sticks our bugs you still. Seems like it would be a better way than screwing with the current ones and creating a thinner metal on the exhaust or an exhaust leak.
I know Tony at Fast Intentions does the custom muffler deleted axlebacks for FI exhaust.

Thanks, birdman71!

Ok, if it messed with sound then likewise, I wouldn't want to extend it. I'll talk to ARK and see what they have for kicks and giggles. If they don't then I'll leave as is and plan for something in the future to get the exhaust tips to flush a bit better the right way.

As a sidenote, yes, as you have noticed, my intention for the diffuser and exhaust was primarily form over function. =P

All good brotha! I thought about doing more flash than fast, but then I found that you are able to do both

Plus I looked at the ARK exhaust and its just wayyyyy to low for socal roads with how the axlebacks are made
