Honestly, I don't think that amenities should have anything to do with a dealership ratings (or at least they should have very, very little to do with them). It should be solely about customer service and vehicle service. I don't go to the dealer for free donuts and CNN on the TV :twocents:

I am surprised that OP had a problem at Fontana Nissan. Of all the dealers I would have thought they had the best service and his situation is surprising. I personally had a good experience at West Covina for a warranty issue but no way in hell would I let a dealer touch any of my cars if it's not a warranty issue.

The last time I went to a dealer in my Z I went for a last second oil change and they put oil all over my engine bay. I cannot trust them to follow directions if their work is that sloppy.

Now I have a local mechanic who I know very well and I can trust to do things right the first time and anything he can't do I go to Corner 3 Garage. There is a very common misconception that you need to take a new car to the dealer or a car that is still under warranty but as long as you keep your records you will still are covered. Don't listen to anyone that says you MUST go to the dealer

My car is also too low and modded to take to a dealer at this point anyway so I don't even bother.

That's just my opinion after owning a Z for the last 10 years..

Had problem starting the car (they could not replicate the problem so they sent me home; found out I was driving with out the clutch fluid reservoir cap for a month because the mechanic decided to just leave the cap under the hood; soon my csc gave out; quoted me $2400 just to fix the csc; went to a local shop & got it fixed for less than $1k)

So my conclusion is "don't go to Metro Nissan of Montclair" :)

Dealerships...Stealerships, they are the good, the bad and the ugly all in one. I lost my serpentine belt while at my brother house and I was lucky he had access to a car hauler. We took it to the stealership in Victorville and they didn't have a pulley in stock for as that is what we diagnosed the problem to be. This was on a Sunday afternoon and Metro was the only place near by that had the part to do the job so they said bring it on down the hill. They had me in and out in just over an hour and wash my car to boot. All on warranty. A great experience for me!!!

But after managing vehicle fleets for more years than I wish to share...I agree with Waiz. I have a local shop do all the stuff I can't do and Seb at SZ does the rest and that's a 5 hour drive!
