For the modified category if I would have judge it this would have won in my books!

What makes this Z better than the others in the mod class? Just curious is it because of the mods or personal preference?

Thanks Zoren

Nomodsjk has asked me to remove his comments and apologized, out of respect, I'm removing the quote that was on this post as well.

Thanks John for posting the winner for the modified class.

The event was as always a huge success and everybody had a great time! Kudos to you all at Z1.

Let it be known I too was not satisfied the way the judging was made. Im not here to question the decision of the judges nor attack any personalities I believe the judges themselves are not fully guided with specific criteria that each category should have.

I certainly believe a Z that is supercharged or turbocharged should be automatically considered an ultra modified Z, as one has already modified the internals of the engine by doing such, plus the extensive man power and cost involved with this engine tuning and all. Thus I question the validity of a turbo charged Z under a modified category.
Even on a drag strip a normally aspirated with CAI is no match to a turbo charged Z. Case in point.

Same goes for a fully stock Z will have no match in comparison to a Z with an aftermarket wheels and modified front bumpers.

Its no apples vs apples. Simply stated.

My suggestions have a specific criteria of mods that would qualify under a particular category rather than by the number of mods.

I know judging is a difficult task but with this scenario a lot of guidelines or rules can be improved.

The Z1 family is growing thus more members are getting involved and damn getting serious about this show. Its time to make it more precise/ competitive to avoid such questionable results. In the end the integrity of the show would lose its value.
Otherwise all of us just display our Z at the event and have fun and enjoy the view as all are winners. :tiphat:

I love Znationals!

:iagree:
I commented as such walking around looking at all the Zs on the lot. I kept saying to myself "Why would that be in the 'Stock' class? It has all kinds of mods."

But, overall, I had a great time.

Thanks! Yeah i think the rules are by the number of visual mods for each category is good... but they should add restrictions as to which mods are not allowed or it will move them to another category (ex. changes the look drastically, body kit, supercharger, tt, etc)

Overall, it was a great show, wished I would've stayed for the awards banquet but I'm definitely staying next year

So by you making this statement, isn't this just as much a slap in the face to Moses?

I've been trying to think exactly how I want to respond to this comment without offending you or coming off as an ingrate to z1 for putting on a great show. After this comment I'm done talking about this. If you were there then you would understand. I would have been content coming in second to a superior car or an inferior car with a different owner. More than anything the way he chose to act towards me before during and after is why I've objected so fervently. Again I'm done with this subject. I had a great freaking time regardless of the awards and will be back every year God willing. Again thanks to all who had a hand in making this event what it was and I'm truly sorry if I came off any other way than grateful for the good time. The real award was meeting Jon from z1 and some of the forum brothers, KaienZ34 especially. He's a really cool mofo and I'm truly happy to have made his acquaintance. It's not every day I meet someone that I click with so quickly. That more than anything was the highlight of the trip for me.
