There is a powder coating place right down the street from where I live in brevard, but I've never used them so I can't really give you a good report. Sorry man, I've never had to have anything powder coated before, I'll be working on that soon...

Depending on what you are looking to get powder coated, Mike in the ATL would be my suggestion. There are alot of PC guys around, and alot of guys who claim that they can powder coat. Mike does excellent work.
Shipping would be your only added expense. He is very thorough with his work and will stand behind what he sends out. He is an active memeber here on the forums. Before you drop anything off with your PC guy, give him a shout. A second opinion never hurt anyone. |
thanks Dustin!

Thank you guys. yes at this point I am just saving money and looking for a spare wheels so I dont leave my car on stands while the wheels are getting powder coated anywhere I choose. So Yes when I am ready I will also consider Mike even tho his a bit far away

Well guys I wanted to revive this thread first to thank everyones suggestions, second to share my story and third to recommend this place as well as you guys did for me.
First I will start saying: DO NOT EVER USE Central Florida Powder Coating here in Orlando, FL. The wheels were done by BnJ Powdercoating. Nice people, fast job, all good experience with them. Now the pictures. I didn't want to do black like everyone else does, so I selected a very particular color that with no light they look black and when light hit them the look dark grey on black with metal. You can maybe see it on the first picture. http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/q...-55-42_738.jpg http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/q...4-55-56_63.jpg http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/q...-07-45_445.jpg http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/q...-18-00_286.jpg http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/q...-18-45_224.jpg http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/q...-19-13_662.jpg |
They look great! Mind if I ask how much it was to get them done? And why not to use the company mentioned?

The CFPC were very irresponsible, kept the wheels for 2 1/2 weeks and never did anything to the wheels. The guy in charge response all the time was "i call when when they are ready" So I didnt like the attitude or the customer service. There is more to it but I will prefer to say not to use Central Florida PowderCoating |

How about for you Mike how much it would cost for the powder coat? With the same Rays wheels.

Would you mind if I powder coat my wheels same as the colors of your wheels?
What do u call that color? Actually it just dawn on me that.... that color is for a 911 GT3 RS accent. Right? "If you can't afford to buy it then Copy it" haha...BTW Im Chinese!!! ( No racial let down here... just for fun). |
fine with me. Its NIC Industries Harley Orange
|
Please PM me you shop address just in case. Thanks

Use Mike. Probably going to get my wheels done next spring or maybe during the winter when I can mothball the car. He already did my calipers and they look fantastic. One guy at a show today refused to believe me when I told them they weren't factory.
