Im still up for a cruise in late April or May. Anyone still wanting to try and get together for a mountain run?

ClemsonWill 03-06-2012 01:17 PM

Got back from Vegas Sunday night at 11pm, went to bed immediately, and slept until 2pm on Monday. I feel great today.

We had a groupon for those 30 mph go-carts but I don't know if it's still available.

Couple of Tips: Buy a cheap room and see if you can get upgraded when you talk to the desk person. Doesn't hurt to slip them a few bills. We were upgraded from a 2 bedroom suite to a 2 bedroom penthouse for free. It saved us about $800 for 3 nights.

Also, you can use your military id to get discounts for shows. Saved us about 30%.

If you go to a strip club, don't take the free limo. You take a cab and you won't have to pay a cover to get in. If you take the limo, they make you pay a cover then turn around and pay the limo driver with it. The cover is normally way more than you would have paid to get there in a cab.

last but not least. Carry a flask with you at all times. You can save so much money on drinks.

IMWEZL 03-07-2012 08:55 AM

Lol I never thought about carrying a flask around. Styrofoam cups...yeah but they're not as cool as a flask. Thanks!

Welcome! We will definitely have to meet up.

Red Z --> Jay?

RedNismoZ 03-08-2012 12:56 PM

Isn't that Sean john?

IMWEZL 03-08-2012 05:44 PM

I don't even know where Atlantic palms is at and today was the first time I took her out in awhile. But I did see three fellow Z's today. A black One on Rivers at 1030ish and two on base while golfing (white/black).

White Zs look great close up.

Sharpie711 03-09-2012 05:09 AM

i'm always down for whatever, My buddy has an STI so were always driving around...One good thing about locals is if they have parts...I'm looking for test pipes and intakes if anyone in the SC/GA has any =P

ClemsonWill 03-09-2012 09:44 AM

My Z was almost finished last night. Some morons in monster trucks decide they are going to race down a 2 lane road (busy road) near my house. The first guy gets around an oncoming car and the second comes out right in front of me (head on). He then tries to swerve to miss me and pushed the the little saturn he was passing into the ditch. I drove up on the side walk to miss him. They had to be going 70-80 mph in a 35 mph zone. Idiots! At least my baby is safe and sound, tucked back in the garage.

Worst part being that I felt the Police officer was just kind of like, oh well. Not like...... Let me get this radioed in so we can get these guys before they hurt someone else. I normally support my law enforcement wholeheartedly. But this particular guy did a very poor job showing his understanding of how serious this situation is. 2 maniacs chasing each other through residential streets in 4 ton+ vehicles.

UGH!

Sharpie711 03-09-2012 10:05 AM

Charleston is full of idiots...it's a college town. I feel like I'm constantly dealing with morons. Glad you and your car are okay though. That could have been a pretty bad disaster...As much as i baby my car, if 2 jackass's in trucks hit me head on and i was still able to grab my shotgun, they'd have a bad day coming. In South Carolina you can stop a felony with deadly force. Law enforcement is hit or miss. Some cops are awesome and would do anything to help anyone...some do it for self gain and some because they are lazy and dont give a ****.

I live on JI and work in N. Charleston ............. I mostly see City of Chas. and N. Chas. police .................. I wish it were different but most just want to write speeding tickets ......... it's like they are obsessed with this and they think that's what they were hired for :shakes head:

End of April sounds good. Weekend of the 28th might work best. Any opinions?

jav@vossen 03-12-2012 09:48 PM

If anyone is coming to Import Alliance in Atlanta and has Vossen wheels and wants to park with us, let me know in PM!

IMWEZL 03-13-2012 11:04 AM

Sounds good. Who else is interested in Mountain meet April 28th?

Also, there is a Clemson Autocross on March 31st. They made it back on campus so it should be a good turn out. I won't be able to make it that weekend but it would be great if some of the upstate guys go out and represent the Zs.

HKYStormFront 03-13-2012 02:51 PM

i'd be there if i wasn't moving that weekend :ugh2:
