When's our next get together? I think I have like 5 go kart races left on my card.... haha

Gadgetech 09-19-2014 05:49 PM

Was wondering about that myself. We have any plans for a fall drive? The local Z club has one on the 18th of October.

I need to put my damn intakes on and go get the car tuned first. I'm seriously slacking and haven't done it yet.

I'll put your intakes in if you put my test pipes in

Not a chance. I can't blame you for trying though. :D Hopefully I'll have a few days where I can put on the intakes and then go to Charlotte back to back and get it all sorted out. Intakes look like a very easy job it's just a matter of doing it. And since it rains like 24/7 the Z has been doing a lot of garage sitting. I do have the tuner cable and uprev tuner license ready to go though :happydance:

Gadgetech 09-20-2014 03:07 PM

Who are you going to get to tune it?

CIN Motorsports is the current plan based on recommendations and my experience. The conversation I had with their tuner was pretty solid. That conversation combined with the fact that Z1 is much further away kind of steered me in their direction.

Did they mention how long tuning would take? Curious if you're able to wait or if it's a next day thing to pick it up

Nothing about leaving the vehicle ever came up, I sure as **** wouldn't want my car on a dyno THAT long. I would hope no more than a few hours..if that even. For a place that tunes Z's on a daily basis I would guess 1-3 hours.

That's what I figured, I want to get mine done in a few months

I am sorry to report this but Bobby has basically shut down CIN Motorsports. I can explain more in person. Nothing bad happened or anything like that at all. He simply had another opportunity that he couldn't turn down. You may still be able to get him to tune your car but chances are slim now. If you need to get in direct contact with him, I can help facilitate that. I just found out the details this weekend when I was up in Charlotte. My friend Chris, who does the vinyl wraps (the gold GTR, etc) has basically taken over his shop area as a work space. I will be happy to talk about it in person this weekend at Cars and Coffee as there isn't really anything to hide, I just don't want to post someone else's business up on a public forum.

Also.... Cars and Coffee is next Saturday! Who's in for that followed by some karting and/or lunch??!! :D

Alsoooo... The Carolina Z Club is having their annual Occupy Nissan car show where they take over a dealership just north of Charlotte next Sunday. If you are available, I highly recommend you try to make it! They had ~60 cars last year and are hoping for 100 this year!

Motion Lab tuning is in Charlotte and the owner/tuner Todd Marcellini has world-wide experience with multiple platforms/systems. He tuned my Z a couple times...once to fine tune after VSR installed the single turbo kit and once again later on Q16 to hit 611 rwhp. I would highly recommend them.
