Which one do you have? I got the 9500ci myself, thinking of putting the speaker in the passenger floorboard. The controller... somewhere, and I'm not sure about the display/control panel. I'd love to have the display mirror thing you can get, but not about to drop $400 for a mirror... :ugh2:

So I dunno about those, but as long as I get the sensors cables routed into the cab, that's honestly the hardest part for me.

Got one from a friend its an xtr 558, not the best but it works. I was thinking about getting a 9500, saw a guy selling his for $350 here, but never replied back.

There's a difference between the 9500ix and the 9500ci. I have the latter which is a bit more of an install and is $1200. The ix is the window mount which I'm not a fan of personally.

Any advantages in the newer model? I like window mounts, idk that's just me.

It's not a newer model, it's a completely different setup. Whereas the ix is a window mount, the ci is a fully installed into the car. There are 2 laser shifters in the front bumper and 1 radar receiver. Then another shifter that will go over the tag. With a speaker, controller, and display.

Ohh, yeah, Jim told me about that on the way to Charleston. $1200 is a bit much imo.

It is, but it does have all the features of the ix and its a more stealthy look, especially if you have a cop who doesn't like seeing one inside the car. And some states they're illegal.

So it's just better for me, gucci I know... but oh well.

:icon18:  good thing we need that stealthy look for when we're in Virginia/Washington lol. I hear Tennessee is trying to make radar detectors illegal.

This is why I'm getting one, I'll be making trips through there pretty often to go see family. Not worth the hassle.

I think Matthew was the first to reply on that the last time we decided to do this, lol. Either way will get it done. I'll check the calender tomorrow. BTW what road were we thinking about running the last time we got together. Was it the dragon. If not it was something closer that had nasty mountain turns aswell.

Yeah, but gotta take extra steps before going. You could get cited for holding your phone, camera, gps. Get cited for going off the pavement, cops are really anal.

Those are usually the things we worry about after the cruise leaving downtown Greenville:icon17:

I can't do the first week in April so maybe we can plan the meet for the 14th or 21st?
