Jacksonville Oil Change Info

Just got back from an oil change at coggins-avenues. They charged 60 for a full synthetic which I thought was very reasonable. The labor was 12, the oil filter was 5 and the oil (6.5 qts) was around 40. 6 bucks a liter for synthetic is a darn good price.

The best part is that they gave me the left over oil to have for emergencies AND you can bring them your own oil and filter and they will just charge you labor if you prefer mobil 1, royal purple etc

Overall a good experience. I will be headin back to them in 5,000 miles.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. i drove to Tampa 2 days later and lost half of my oil. I had to have my car flat bed towed to the dealership in Tampa to get a new oil change

The Jacksonville technician forgot to tighten the drain plug and the manager never inspected it after I asked him to.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had and I will never go back to Coggin-Avenues. They are very lucky I didnt lose all my oil and blow my engine.

Please be careful with this dealership this is a true story that has been a nightmare!!!!

That's no good, what a huge mistake... Which course of action are you going to do next?

Sorry it happen to you. This exact thing happen with my dads car when the tech forgot to tighten the drain bolt. I have been doing my own oil changes for years. It's very easy and satisfaction guaranteed.

So many places forget to tighten it. That's why whenever I get an oil change.. I toss a newspaper under the car and check the next morning if it's good to go or not.

I'm sorry to hear about what Happened. I would suggest to do the oil change yourself, it's not that difficult, and you'll have the satisfaction of knowing it got done right.
