ZdayZ was a hell of a time as always. Good to meet some of the first timers.
I'm in withdrawal now. I haven't been able to spend much time with the car this year, and what a great reminder of how much I love driving it.

Still sifting through video, but my favorites are always the wet & rainy runs. This was Friday morning I believe.

The camera died, so I didn't capture Bob absolutely destroy a branch in the road on the way back down Hellbender.
There was an entire xmas tree of of twigs and branches stuck between the splitter and bumper afterwards!

Hot damn, nice vid.

Rusty 05-21-2018 09:30 PM

Me and Spooler hit a tree branch Saturday morning on the Dragon. It's in one video that I'm still working on.

Hotrodz 05-21-2018 09:33 PM

I got home last night at about 10:30 PM and boy was I tired. Almost missed my connecting flight in Kansas City due to a 45 minute delay in Nashville. I was grateful they held the plane for me as I was the last person to board.

Hotrodz 05-21-2018 09:38 PM

I had such a great time. Definitely, the best of the three ZDAYZ I have been too. I had such great time hang with everyone for whatever time we had together and I apologize to those I didn't meet or get a chance to take for a ride on the Dragon. You would think four days would be enough but time just flies when you are having so much fun. I guess we will have to do it again next year and I will start were I left off.

Hotrodz 05-21-2018 09:44 PM

Josh, what a great run that was that morning. Please send me pictures of our little Dam shoot. It was another memorable time. Next year I will bring a bottle of Scotch your choice of flavor lol.

Somebody said he needed his Dramamine at the bottom of the Dragon and threw up on Hellbender. Not sure who that was.

That is what happens with First Class customers. LOL Us lowly economy they don't give a rip. :)

I just got 2 of the drives off my Virb. The others are on my laptop. I will work on them later. They are dry runs. I will work on editing them tomorrow.

Hotrodz; I much appreciate the ride on hellbender!
Though I know you had your boost level turned down; She still pulled very impressive,,,as I had a firm grip on the door handle & other on the dash...lol.
Also amazing how well car handled through curves & especially when hitting a damp spot....unsure if caused by suspension setup, driver ability or additional 250# in passenger seat. Either way; had that “Grin” on my face!
Time did go by quickly & looking forward to seeing you in the future!

Your videos next year should be a bit different; you’ll be sitting on more than twice rwhp!

Z1NONLY 05-22-2018 07:44 AM

Due to operator error:o, I have no video from Thursday's runs after I got my tire pressures sorted out and the car was considerably more nimble. This run from Wednesday is probably the best I captured and it was *almost* an open run.

Thanks bro! It was great to meet you face to face and sharing stories. Yeah, the suspension setup is pretty much spot on and with all the aero bits and pieces she is well planted for sure and yes the extra weight doesn't hurt at all lol! I really enjoy taking people for a ride as most have not ever been in a car that has the whp and suspension setup. Most people don't get why I...we do what we do to our cars but you said it best....the smiles it puts on my others faces makes every dime spent worth it. Oh and by the way, you ride was at about 70 to 75 percent as I didn't want to hurt your back or scare the crap out of you lol! :driving:

ColtronZ 05-22-2018 08:22 AM

I almost went this year but it was late notice for lodging. I'm not missing out next year, when are the dates usually sorted so I can get a place at Fontana this time? (Other places were 30mins away >.> )

Hotrodz 05-22-2018 08:26 AM

Nice run Mike! I love the sound of your throttle inputs as they are very similar to mine.

6’6” & repped out for the day!
Tomorrow, my 10 till when shift starts back.......gonna try & be off by 7’ish for a bit.
Walking up that hill (from main drag to motel) was good therapy last week, I even witnessed a smoker showing me up.

If you are on Facebook my pics are posted in the Zdayz group there. gotta work on getting them hosted to flickr to share here.

-ZS-Carpenter 05-22-2018 07:22 PM

We had a great time. It was great meeting everyone. We got home late last night, 2223 miles on the Z and 1900 some on the G. Melissa came home with second place in the G37 stock class at the car show.

We are making extended plans for next year. Going to get into the area the weekend before so we(she) can do more sightseeing  Hope to see you all there.
