Charleston Tuner

So once my Z1 intake parts are installed (hopefully Monday) I want to get a good NA tune to hold me over until I'm ready to pull the trigger on F.I. I saw some recommendations from awhile ago for AV Tuning and Development, but their most recent reviews leave me a little uneasy especially since they both relate to tuning. Can anyone who's worked with them lately vouch for them? I want to use them because they're really local (<10 miles away) but I'm willing to drive for piece of mind if I need to. Z1 is about three hours away and I've seen some people talk about shops in Charlotte (also 3 hours). I appreciate any input!

I went to AV tuning and development about a month ago for a baseline dyno. I was talking with the owner and he seemed pretty knowledgeable of the Z platform. When I am ready for a tune, I will be using them to tune my Z with EcuTek. They have a new location on Cross County Rd. Their shop should be all set up by now. I suggest you go check them out.

I went by there Monday but they had a sign up saying that they weren't seeing clients. Went by yesterday, nobody was working the front but there was sign along the lines of: their front manager wasn't available today, meetings are by appointment only, we welcome walk-ins but you might have to wait 20 minutes to talk to anybody, if you can't wait, take a card and email us. They had a good number of cars in the shop, so I imagine they're busy, which is good, I just don't want them to be so busy that something goes wring because someone is distracted, you know? I shot them an email yesterday around noon.

I've got about a week before I'm ready for a tune and I guess I'd just like a little more piece of mind than internet exchanges. I like face-to-face conversations.

How much did they quote you for the tune?

I didn't get a quote for it yet. I was just letting Anthony know what direction I was taking my Z. But they will reach out to you, I did the same thing. I emailed them and he called me back and seemed really interested and knowledgeable about the plans I had. Really good people over there.

Got an email back from Anthony yesterday. $650 for the tune. I'll probably try to get an appointment for next week sometime for it, assuming I don't run into any issues with the intake installs. Now just keeping my eye out for F.I. kit deals
