I went from an ‘09 7AT to a ‘13 6MT and there definitely is a difference. Both have their pros and cons. The 7AT is quicker esp off the line, but the 6MT has the fun factor.

had to get auto at the request of the wifey....

had to get auto at the request of the wifey. otherwise, the other option was to keep my 350Z 6spd and it was time to trade.

though i miss rowing through the gears, surprisingly, no regrets on...

not true. all auto's do not rev match. for...

not true. all auto's do not rev match. for example, my buddy's lexus is auto and if i move the shifter into a lower gear, yes the rpm will raise, but not in the rev-match way. it sounds like a manual...
