Yeah I understand what you mean. I know alot of people dont support the "torture" they speak of. But call me crazy, I believe that ANYBODY who chooses to harm someone should be punished in the same way if not worse than they way they harmed another. An eye for an eye. You dont see them showing any shame when they commmit a crime. You dont see those terrorists show one blink of emotions when they harm innocent people. So they dont deserve ANY rights.

You think about this though. If they come into our prisons on US soil.....do you really expect them to make it? One of these prisoners here will kill them without hesitation.

I disagree with what you, two major points.
1) What makes us better than terrorists if we choose to ignore laws and ethical behavior to exact our revenge? Yes they are wrong... but why do we have to wrong them back. "An eye for an eye will leave the world blind."

2) You assume all of them are "terrorists" or have harmed people. In fact, of the approximately 760 detainees held in gitmo since 2002, only 10 had charges filed against them. Most were completely innocent and denied due process of law or minimum ethical treatment for prisoners.

Fox News is discussing this now. You should tune in its interesting.

From who? Ourselves?! We were safe BEFORE the attacks. We would've been even MORE safe if Gore was elected. The attacks would have been prevented if Bush didn't want them to happen. Please... I bet more than half the people in Gitmo were innocent. The patriot act was to enable the Bush administration to have absolute power and dictatorship! "We don't like you! So, skip the trial, straight to jail with you!"

Sorry but NOTHING good came from the last 8 years except that I got to bang a LOT of hot chicks I wanted to bang for a long time. That's it.

Having just watched the video, I must say that it's unpleasant, bigheaded, opinionated, self-satisfied jerks like those two guys that get Americans a really bad name. (I'm not talking about the rappers).

I also thought that Jeezy and JayZ were quite wrong to say what they said, in the way they said it - neither of them deserves to have a Z in their name. Although I can understand their joy, racism never helped anyone... but thank God Bush has gone. Barack Obama seems to be an excellent man - especially as I hear that he's part Irish (on his mother's side) just like me!!! I just wonder when he'll make the 'trace my roots' trip that all american presidents seem to make, back to good ol' Ireland.

Best wishes, from England xxx

I highly doubt if it was Bush, who created all of that. He's not that smart, in fact I think he is a f***king idiot! V.P. Joe Biden has called **** Cheney, "a dangerous man"! Cheney is smart, shred, crafty, and evil! He's been in (was)Washington for over 30 years. He was Secretary of Defense during the first Gulf War. I'll cut to the chase! Chaney is probably the man responsible for this "Patriot Act" and Gitmo. If you can't tell, I think the whole thing is a crock of s**t!

Crash 01-24-2009 04:31 PM

Believe me, I don't think Bush DID it, but I do believe he KNEW about it long before it was going to happen.

And yes, the I believe the whole thing was a crock of s**t too! That's why I believe Jay-Z was talking about bush's lies, not that we're not going to get lied to because we have a black president. I think both those sentences were completely different thoughts.

World Trade Center 1993.

And by the way, those statements WERE RACIST. You can try to justify it any way you want, being one color or another doesn't make it less offensive. Words like that just show ignorance.

Crash 01-25-2009 03:57 AM

I'm not justifying anything. I listen to rap, hip-hop, country, techno, rock, alternative, and everything else on a VERY regular basis. I listen to the words in every song. If you're an avid hip-hop listener, you'll likely realize that the words came out wrong, but had a different meaning.

And the bombing in 1993 also happened on a Bush's watch!

I'm on your side Crash, but it can't forgiven as a 'mistake'. Everyone knows that where race is concerned you have to be ultra careful choosing your words so that they can't be misunderstood and used by people like those two 'white' TV presenters. What concerns me more is the latent/hidden/systemic racism I sensed when the two white guys were talking. They tried to cover it by being generally unpleasant about everything, but it was sitting there and rose to the surface every now and then. Why does America tolerate this?

Dreamin'Z 01-25-2009 07:35 AM

Agreed

I AGREE, I AGREE, I AGREE!!!!!!!!!!

I dont' know how many of you guys are military memebers. But i am so i have to pick my words very carefully. But i will say this the only 10 charged is incorrect there was 13!!!LOL and that is the point it's bad enough that we have people sitting away in our own prisons on our own soil but now we take our military memebers to watch "may or may not be" terrorist elsewhere when there are much more important project that we need to deal with as a country. Not only that but guess who's funding all of this (check out your pay stub, and i bet you can answer it yourself). So good on him for shutting that bad boy down. And what a lot of people don't know, those prisoners are afraid to go home. They were captured and survived this long so "they most have talked". If they were to return to their families which most of them have been killed by their own neighbors, they wouldn't last very long. Granted i speak only of the extremist, just like in other religions.

Now, on a different note, i don't know how many of the members of this forum are of any color but, I AM. Racism, should not be tolerated in any form of the matter be it Jay-z britney spears or me. I don't think the song lyric was made as a racist comment by Jay-Z.

Young Jeezy, like O'Reily said was absolutely a disgrace. And the president should be outraged and I am sure there is a much larger number of memebrs in the black community that are PISSED THE EFF OFF BY THIS COMMENT. Things like that, like i said earlier should not be tolerated, I wish it didn't come to this. Why can't we just celebrate a change and leave it at that. I personally am disgusted by the comment and ashamed. What we all have to remember is every village has an idiot or two and Jeezy has just let us all know who it is. Mostly I'm embarrassed about all of this and I know a lot of people that will be as well.

Being of mixed races and in the military where you are forced to live and deal with people (from your own country but you'd sware they were from another planet), you learn what to say, do and listen to around others as to not "perpetuate the stereotype" as I like to say. But, Jay-Z has always been a rapper that i feel like everyone can have fun listening to, like Missy Elliot or Timbaland. I think in the PC world we live in everyone wants to catch everyone else for saying something, just so you can go on t.v. and pretend to be upset. I have learned a lot of new phrases and words that i didn't even know existed that have just rolled off of someone's tongue without even thinking of who's in the room, so i know racist when i hear racist and i am going to have to say that i don't think it was meant to be that serious. I never hear anyone complain about Dave Chappelle, know that loser should be removed from the planet, he can take young jeezy with him so if you laugh at that a**hole, you are just as guilty as what you think Jay-Z "may or may not be"!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting off my soap-box and going to look and some VOLKS you guys rock!!!
